to me it was perfect. i love the songs. i don't care about the storylines but that's also bc what happened is bigger than any storylines. to me it was perfect bc his family was okay with it, and lea was okay with it, and also i love the part that they didn't say how he died, i think it's good. about some people not being there, the 2 biggest are Quinn and Brittany. Brittany's actress was heavily pregnant atm, so that why. and for Quinn it was a schedule problem. at the time she was doing a movie with Michele Pfeiffer and Robert de Niro, and i think it was promo time. it's sad that she wasn't able to come back, bc imo in terms of "storylines" i think she would be the most important one (outside of Rachel ofc).

I would've gone up to the writers and told them that they can do whatever they want to Tina's character, but not for this episode. Considering how the writers already ruined Tina's character they should've at least had the decency to write Tina's scene the way Jenna would've wanted just this once. Also, this whole episode was basically shot in one take and you can tell because Naya even looked straight into the camera during the Fire and Rain performance. And obviously none of this was acting when it comes to the tears and emotions and whatnot, but just like how the cast struggled to shoot this episode the same can be said about the crew apparently some of the producers and other crew members had to step out because they were breaking down emotionally as well.

2022-09-27 13:06:57 +0000 UTCwhew this episode. I mean, I personally really hate season 5 but this episode is obviously excluded bc it’s just so well-done and a great tribute. you could really see how he was their leader in many ways.

2022-09-27 10:29:09 +0000 UTCThis episode makes me cry my eyes out every single time because of how many years has passed I still miss Corey. I’ve been with glee from the moment it aired and went right through to the end. So this episode is always hard for me watch but I still do because I just miss him. Rest In Peace Corey 🤍🕊

And i will forever sympathize with her for losing Cory and constantly being asked about him....it's hard to grieve in general. But to grieve when the world is watching you...you can tell she loved him so much and still does. They were literally engaged...it's so tragic and sad.

2022-09-27 04:11:55 +0000 UTCThis episode is definitely the hardest episode of Glee to watch because it is clear the cast wasn't acting. Much of what was shot for the episode was done in one take because the cast had a hard time shooting this episode. This episode is even harder to watch now because of Naya's passing, her bigger role in this episode because of her real life friendship with Cory, and the song she sings in this episode ("If I Die Young" was a great cover but definitely hard to listen to now). Lea's performance is hard to watch knowing her and Cory were together at the time of his death. The one thing about this episode I would've changed is Tina's scene with Emma. This episode was a great tribute for Cory/Finn but the one thing that is out of place is Tina's scene. Every time I've watched this episode since it originally aired I skip over Tina's scene. If I was Jenna (the actress who plays Tina) I would've been mad and uncomfortable if I saw what she had to say as Tina in the script for this episode.
