Jimmy's not a reporter, he's a photographer.

P.s it was the professor who wanted to meet with her in that alley, she didnt set that up. This also displays that being in a relationship with lex is just gonna being a bunch a lies, deceit and all kinds of shady, its just the natural way when you enter the fold of the luthors. I mean remember Lex had Lionel help him fabricate some bullshit to test lana’s loyalty. Lex has alot of issues as he trusts nobody and truly isnt suitable to be in a relationship at this point of his character development

I wouldnt say Lana is being shady per-say a better word would be cunning, tactful or maybe calculating. Btw she has to be that way, as lex is not that trusting as she slowly starting to find out in this episode from the professor when he revealed that Lex is doing military test after agreeing with lana in previous eps that they wont be as obsessive on it. Steven, now that she is in the environment of a Luthor we are see her starting to learn how to move like a Luthor to cope with her environment 1. Never be direct 2. Always talk in riddles 3. Have agendas and play things close to the chest 4. Reduce trust in those around you The difference for me is Lex incorporates these things and much more for ruthless endeavors of self-interest, whereas Lana has only been like this when she was trying to protect lex as a show of her loyalty to lex in (as we saw previous episode) or as a reaction when lex mistrusts her or says 1 thing & does another (her not being trusted is her biggest issue in the show) Even the loyalty thing imo you have to remember that her character is literally learning from the master (Lex). You see with him she’s in the “real world” or the “grown up” world and being there alongside a man from the upper echelon‘s of life she allows herself to do things she once thought she might not have been capable of, like her new found attitude of “the ends justify the means” (to a lesser extent) Which was presented to us with in the previous episode when she went ahead and Blackmailed the professor. Definitely something the Talon Lana would NOT do especially in the name of loyalty and protection but those are the glimses of the lana thats being influenced by lex we are starting to see Imo its character development provoked by her situation and circumstances that influences the way she thinks and acts

Not my favorite ep but some important stuff happens. We finally get the name drop for the Brain InterActive Construct aka Brainiac. Yes he is a one of Superman's big bads. Also when Chloe says "don't knock the basement" she's referring to the fact that she works in the basement. They're in the basement when they are having this conversation.

Sonia Deepak

this show has the bad habit of killing guest stars too quickly.
