In my opinion Pridgen did not have enough experience being out in the field as a firefighter. It may also be why he ran his house into the group with poor leadership and bad calls on scenes. Why would you send everyone around back which would leave people standing around doing nothing and waiting for orders that would eventually put them back where they need to be in this situation.

2022-10-13 13:52:06 +0000 UTCThe new Battalion Chief (Pridgen) got his title while he was working behind a desk for 10 years and than once promoted given a house to run ( Firehouse 17). The lady that was hired by the city (Gail) that was shutting down firehouses had his closed, might not have mentioned that it was due to poor leadership but he would not have been stripped of his rank due to the house being closed. The firefighter that came in for squad (Welch) lost his rank which was Lieutenant due to the accident he caused when the fire trucks crashed. He was working at Firehouse 105. I think they may have only assisted each other at fires that happened.
