Rachel did screw Haley over. She used her to steal the key to the answers for Brooke. (Now putting Brooke in a bad position w Haley.) We saw that at the end. They did a close up of Haley's bag when she left and then Rachel holding the key.

2022-10-16 16:41:42 +0000 UTCOther takes from the ep were, though i was a huge brucas fan, in light of knowing what happened between those 2 actors im pretty satisfied at their buildup of Leyton or Pucas, (however thats said) lol. Dont get me wrong it didnt reach brucas feels for me but the show is doing well with it so far. Gigi is still a riot, Rachel is annoying af...... but that thing she did for brooke was sweet. Initially i thought she was gonna srew haley over and i was just fuming everytime her face popped on screen but now im like okay.. thats a good twist by the show. (RANT INCOMING) Oh and btw the part in the hospital was MAAAAAAD Unrealistic and kinda pissed me off. I may be alone in that but bro if your in a hospital where there are people waiting there just like you , then u dont just get special treatment wtf. Okay... the nurse was being a bit much but they cant just barge in, and while explaining to the doc, they call the nurse a bitch..... 0_o huh???? Then the doc just overlooks that and just helps them even though there is a room filled with patients waiting. They also hurl a barage of insults as they leftππππ. I get it it was supposed to be funny but.... here is the thing the comedy in dramas are supposed to possess a hint of realism, and anything realistic about this is nothin but a bunch spoiled bitchy teenagers

2022-10-16 11:18:28 +0000 UTCI just finished watching this ep, and just WOW! Im absolutely left speechless. Call me a sensitive sally but this ep made me ball for a variety of reasons. First, it was triumph and win of the team and the way they did it (comeback mainly spurred on by haleys talk with Nate), second it was surprisingly Dans character genuinely trying to be a good person\ Dad both him being happy for nate and also sacrificing himself for him, thirdly haley being hit by the car. Boy was that a hard one for me, ive so far been a HUGE Naley fan and that one hurt. I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE emotion evoking episodes and this one did just that and more. This one is just Wowππππ₯

2022-10-16 11:17:47 +0000 UTCHaley going to the hospital set up the ending scene. It was needed for the drama. It's a tv show. Drama first logic second. But in this case it checked both boxes. If you're experiencing severe cramps while pregnant why wouldn't you go see a doctor? Miscarriages are very common. Just because it didn't turn out serious doesn't mean it was a waste. Anyway, it setup Nathan finding out he was having a son (if she had found out earlier she would have told him)and was a very logical reason for him to turn the game around and win. The win led Dante to mow Nathan down, have Haley push him out of the way and get hit instead and made Nathan "kill" Dante in retaliation. Now Haley and their son's life is in the balance and Nathan could go to jail. Good drama. Sure the basketball game was great, but this took it to the next level.

2022-10-14 01:23:40 +0000 UTCi don't think lucas admitting his feelings for peyton negates what happened with brooke/lucas. if anything it just makes lucas look indecisive. and the fact that brooke had to PUSH him to admit his feelings for peyton in this episode doesn't make lucas' feelings seem very reliable lol. the love triangles on this show always make me roll my eyes though.

2022-10-13 21:40:06 +0000 UTCDefinitely probably one of the best episodes in the series, the next one is stellar as well. Great Leyton episode, we finally get to see them be together for a little while at least. Loved the callbacks to the first episode. I don't think Lucas admitting that he has always had feelings for Peyton negates anything that happened with Brooke. Its just different. I do think Dante was already dead after the car crash. Dan has a way of being extra dramatic at all times. He hit his hand on the asphalt so that it looked like he was the one that beat Dante to death. The cops showed up because someone ran someone over and tried to flee the scene of the crime before they crashed and were beat up by a teenager lol. I'm sure someone other than Lucas called 911. The Rachel test thing is stupid and it is never any less stupid.

2022-10-12 23:44:37 +0000 UTCLucas called 911 but it's also possible a bystander also called in when seeing Nathan beating Dante up after pulling him out of the car. The only thing weird to me was that Dan said "you killed him". How hard was Nathan hitting him? How much impact did the crash have? Otherwise, a really great episode and it's better safe than sorry to take a pregnant woman to the hospital if she's in pain because of potential for a misscairrage.

2022-10-12 12:18:09 +0000 UTCI think when Lucas called 911 and explained that Haley got hit by a car, they called the cops bc I guess it's procedure. And then they saw a dead man on the ground and Dan standing over him. Drawing their guns may have been a step too far, but maybe bc they didn't see if Dan was holding a weapon or something?!

2022-10-12 08:56:51 +0000 UTCI wouldn't say it's white girl privilege what happened in the hospital. Many miscarriages start with severe cramps. The girls are young and panicking, and did the right thing getting her to the hospital; however, they're then confronted by someone's bias' (baised on their own history with past bullies) potentially putting the baby in danger. They could have handled it better, but they were in the right in making sure Hailey got help. On a different note, Lucas did say to Peyton that he saw Brooke beside him when his dreams came true, but this was when he was still trying to get Brooke back and Lucas is generally a confused, lost little puppy like that. He's a dreamer. Lucas has wanted Peyton from the beginning of the show. She stopped it initially, but by the time she wanted to be with him he'd started with Brooke. And there follows the drama of the last four seasons where Lucas is with Brooke (and loves her), but deep down wants to be with Peyton. Brooke has also realised that while she loved Lucas, she's fallen out of love with him to where he's not enough for her and visa versa. She's now able to put aside all this mess and see that Lucas and Peyton are meant to be together, and so she helps them at the end.

2022-10-12 08:18:15 +0000 UTCI definitely think there could have been a slight improvement but, yeah, she was faced with someone close to her getting hurt after she made a connection. Can't imagine what that must be like for a teenage girl to think she's a curse on the people around her. Plus, this was one if the reasons she backed away from Luke in the first place, causing all the drama thereafter, because she didn't want to get close to anyone incase they left.

2022-10-12 08:07:59 +0000 UTCI can't blame Nathan entirely. He went to his Dad for help who once again was selfish and brushed him off, so he panicked and made the wrong choice which later came to bite him in the butt. He's not innocent, but he's a product of bad parenting which led to him making that bad choice.

2022-10-12 08:04:31 +0000 UTCOne of the series' best episodes, and one I remember watching for the first time like it was yesterday. It's hard to believe it's been 15 years. This is just one of the many reasons why I love this season. Everything is just so damn good!!

2022-10-12 06:58:58 +0000 UTCOne of my favorite episodes out of the whole series!!! Alsoo, I think that was Peyton's reaction because of Brooke's earlier comment about everyone around her dying and the day that Lucas and her made it official is the day he ends up in the hospital

2022-10-12 05:48:28 +0000 UTCThe announcer on the radio/recording was from the State Championship 18yrs before when Dan played for Whitey. Nathan told Lucas the story in the season 1 finale. Dan didn't like the call that Whitey drew up so he left the game, sat on the bench and refused to go in. Dan was being selfish so they lost. Typical Dan. I loved the throwback and how it was used as a misdirect. Also loved how they won on the same play that Nathan used in season 1, passing the ball to Lucas, and not being selfish. Glad it had a different result this time.π Such a great episode. They were allowed to be happy and celebrate for like 5 mins. The ending was crazy. Haley pushing Nathan out of the way and getting hit. π Nathan "killing" Dante in retaliation. Dan taking the fall for Nathan. Lucas going into cardiac arrest from not taking his pills. All of this a result of Nathan's terrible decision.
