On first season I was on Brooke’s side because and on this season I’m on Peyton’s side. I just think Brooke making fun of Peyton’s grief was too much. She also started hating on Lucas when he did nothing but be a good friend to Peyton. He could have been a better boyfriend yes but also Brooke could have been a better girlfriend. And as for Nathan and Haley they are my forever favorites. They work through stuff together and love each other and you can see that even when they fight

2023-01-27 21:03:56 +0000 UTCLucas and Peyton are actually my favorite characters and I've always felt prety isolated from the fandom for this reason lol I think it's that I see myself in those characters, so it's really troubling to see all the hate for them haha. I would say out of the Core 5, Nathan is my least favorite? Other than bravado and being good at basketball, there really isn't much to him? What makes him interesting is other characters' relationships to him (Dan, Deb, Haley, Lucas, etc.) but I never cared for his personality. I think my connecting to L+P is all about their interests. Luke being into classic literature and using it as a way to define and bring meaning to his world and that snowballing into an interest in writing. Peyton's love of music and art as a way to bring meaning to her world and her general misfortune and melancholic attitude, her style, etc. I've always wanted a friend like Luke, and honestly, I always wanted to be friends with Peyton, despite people saying she's not a good friend. Anyways, that's my take on those characters. I love Brooke and Haley pretty equally, but if I had to rank them all, it'd be: 1. Luke 2. Peyton 3. Brooke 4. Haley 5. Nathan Dan is an interesting and necessary character, but he genuinely sucks in every single way, so I can't bring myself to "like" him at all.

2022-11-06 19:52:29 +0000 UTCI will be the one to say Lucas and Peyton are tops for me but to each their own. I probably actually like Nathan and Haley the least, They're just so...boring? Everything they do is about each other, esp Haley. Everything she does is for Nathan or about Nathan. That being said I'm glad she got to have some anger towards Nathan in this episode because that is rare indeed. It was also nice to see her hanging out with Lucas and Mouth. The Dan stuff will be very interesting, I am curious as to how you will feel about the reveal. The Brooke/Rachel stuff is probably least interesting to me. Although the clean teens storyline is interesting. I believe we get to meet a new character in the next episode or so.

2022-10-30 05:44:51 +0000 UTCI love Nathan and his growth, but he didn't get there on his own. Nathan's character growth is due in large part to Haley. She gives him room to make mistakes by being understanding, but also at the same time calls him out on his shit giving him the right perspective. In this epi, her showing sympathy for the person she thought Dan killed and to his family was the reason why Nathan confessed to her. A fully grown Nathan would have involved her in the decision in the first place. Her remark wasn't flippant it was the truth. His decision was dumb. Even Lucas had to be used to help her understand and get her to come around quickly so it was realistic. (I still say she let him off too quickly.) Would we be having this discussion if she or the baby didn't make it? Just because they survived doesn't make it less serious. Both were a real possibile outcome from that decision. Anyway, Haley needs to continue to call Nathan out on all his dumb decisions (I'm sure he's not finished and I honestly like that he still regresses. It makes it more realistic.) because that is the way he truly grows. The takeaway from this is that Haley needs Nathan to let her all the way in. Honest from day 1. She needs for him to tell her everything. Good or bad. Is that wrong? His agreement is the growth here, not the "finally being honest."

Who wouldn't be justifiably angry if The husband gets involved with heavy criminals. She doesn't Owe anyone empathy, she is The victime and deserves to let her feelings out. I think she forgave to fast for it to be realistic, Can't image if someone I loved putme in harms way like that! What if haley or The baby died? Would that have been easily forgiven? When youget involved withheavy criminals you put a Bulls eye on your loved ones, nathan did that, he made that choice, he put a bullseye on haley and his baby.

I absolutely love Nate’s growth as a character soo fuckin much, its literally one of my fav things in this show, i really hope steven could acknowledge it more lol. I thought the show would go the route of him feeling too ashamed to tell her and it would drag on but he did the right thing. Everything about Dans character development is juicy and fascinating. Is he truly trying to find redemption, or is it BS? Deb is also an interesting character cuz shes a wild card right now idk which way she’ll go. Peytons mental struggle of feeling like a curse was right on the money cuz of all the ppl in her life that die or leave was interesting as well, God!! Peytons life is soo tragic. Oh yah btw wtf GiGi and Mouth breakup was super sudden…. WHY…?

I get her being mad about nathan not disclosing the truth to her at the time, but could you blame him. What got me heated the most is her flippant remark of “getting involved with a Loanshark is a really stupid Decision”…. Umm haley, y’all had no working lights no vehicle and were running really REALLY behind on payments, haley also knew the papa douche dan at the time refused to help (she even broke down in front of karen due to this). I blame the writing tbh. Haley should’ve at least came from a place of empathy and understanding seeing as how she herself was in that position with Nathan and Nate literally had no options. Guys 🤦♂️…….. that scene had me fuming smh. Ughh another annoying thing (but i kinda get it) was Lucas finally empathizing with Nathan as Luke explained the situation to haley. God the writing made this haley flip-out so much more dramatic than it had to be, her final line in that scene “why is it that its so much easier to forgive a stranger than someone you love” 🙄🤦♂️….. LADY!! DANTE TRIED TO KILL YOUR MAN AND IN THE PROCESS PUT U IN THE HOSPITAL AND JEAOPARDIZED UR BABYS SURVIVAL.. HOW ARE YOU LIKENING IT TO NATE UNDERSTANDABLY NOT BEING FORTH-RITE ABOUT SHAVING POINTS😡🤬 i Effing luv Hales but this writing made her unbearable lol

I mean I like him sometimes. For me, Peyton and Lucas are the worst "characters" on the show being that they're way down on my list too. No hate, more meh, but like you I don't think they elevate the show. So in the last episode when Lucas was all of a sudden the George Bailey character it made no sense. Did his "good deeds" did really have that much of an impact. 🤔 Like I said, they would be fine without him, which is basically the opposite of the message It's a Wonderful Life is trying to convey. Obv, the message was meant to be the same. I just wasn't buying it. 🤷🏽♀️
