2022-10-29 05:39:58 +0000 UTCI don't think crashing the float was so weird. Zoe noticed Betty was acting weird. Betty obviously does not want anyone in the town noticing that she was getting help from Zoe. So Zoe needed to create a scene where everything was so chaotic that no one was looking at Betty and noticing she was sick. If Brick realized, he'd want to go treat her and find out she was lying. Lemon would also make a big deal about not letting Zoe treat Betty. Also you notice when she crashed all the Belle's on the float fell down, including Betty. But Betty was falling from the overdose and not the crash. So it helped disguise Betty fainting. If she just collapsed while the float was running smooth and straight, then it would be obvious something was wrong. So the crash helped hide her collapsing and also allowed her and Zoe to sneak off without being noticed in the midst of all the chaos.
