But back then when the pilot first aired, it actually broke some sort of network's record in ratings or something like that. can't remember exactly now, but I think it was the record number of people that watched the pilot when it aired, and it was extremely well received (obviously, lol)

2022-10-30 03:38:23 +0000 UTCThey did an awesome job remastering to HD, especially it shows in the 1st season. I think starting season 2 the quality was already so much better. But I also don't think you have to sacrifice as there are remastered DVDs with original versions as well as far as I know.

Am I crazy that I think the HD is worth sacrificing the music lmao Purely because Steven seemed to enjoy the pilot a LOT more in HD than he did in his original reaction and since it's a first reaction, the music thing would be weird for US but not for him. For him, it would be normal. Also my favorite is Piper by a long shot, then Phoebe.

2022-10-29 14:00:50 +0000 UTCWe're finally here 😊 the show does take a while to find it's ground and get going, but many great shows had a weak start, so hopefully you can bear with it and appreciate the good moments til the good storylines begin. Phoebe's power does suck, at least the other two can do little things here and there, and have a little fun with it, Phoebe sees disasters about to happen, which is valuable for fighting evil, but I would never ever want it. ;D I offered to upload episodes to some online drive so you can watch with the original music, they're great quality too, or if you have worries about doing a reaction on a copy that's been shared online, at least allow me to purchase and send the DVDs or simply donate for you to buy them, because I'll say for the 15th time, music matters a lot here, it's not just the intro it's in the episodes too, trust me audience will mention this a lot.

2022-10-29 13:20:05 +0000 UTCWhat in the heck was that titles music. 😟 Awful. Anyway, based on your Pratical Magic reaction, I would say you have a heavy bias toward Witches and Witchcraft stories. If you can't let go of that this is going to be a very long series, for you and your audience. At the end of this one it seemed like you weren't really that interested. As someone else mentioned, you have to remember the first season of Buffy and how that was styled/written...things change while a show finds their footing. Also, there was somethings you questioned in this episode that were explained for you; for example: As she's walking out the house talking to Piper, Phoebe lists the 3 powers... then you asked what the powers were. So i would definitely pay more attention to what they're saying as there is quite a bit of exposition, usually. Prue didn't choke the guy with her hands she did it with her mind as that is how she controls her powers, and that power is fuelled by anger which Prue is a bit, I guess, unaware of how angry she can be and how that manifests itself in her interactions. As for the sisters, I liked them all initially, but Prue and Piper are my favourites.

The most famous actor in show is typically the last person in the credits and when their name pops up it's labeled as "and" or "With" so and so. Alyssa and Shannen were the two established actors so they were first and last in the credits. You'll notice that in Buffy, Anthony Stewart Head was the And Credit because at the time of season 1 he was the most established actor outside of Sarah. When Giles leaves Alyson Hannigan goes from being number #2 in the credits to becoming the And Credit As far as my favorite, I always was drawn to Piper.

2022-10-29 08:05:37 +0000 UTCThis show is definitely corny at times though I feel like it's at its corniest during the first half of season 1. If I remember correctly, that was pretty much the corniest part of Buffy, too. Charmed finds its footing later on. Second half of season 1 we get more lore, which is pretty damn solid. Season 2 gets stronger and by season 3, this show is just thriving. I really can't wait to see which sister you favor and which character overall is your fav. I'm really glad you're doing this show.

2022-10-29 03:36:45 +0000 UTCalso for my favorite character honestly it kind of changed throughout the seasons. but mainly piper and Phoebe. but also someone you don't know yet!!! but don't get me wrong love prue and all the other supporting charters honestly without the supporting character this show wouldn't be what it was. even though the main girls are absolutely amazing and deserve all the shine and recognition.
