Emily's mom not accepting her daughter is bad, but i side with the mom 100% when it comes to arriving home and finding Emily and Maya not just in the house alone, which is bad enough, but inbthe room, with the door almost closed lying on the bed together. Emily and Maya were completely wrong and unfair to the mom in that scene. They acted like just because they are a gay couple they should be allowed to be alone together like that when if Emily were straight and in that situation with her boyfriend her mom would be as upset, and rightly so! Say whatever you want aboutbher not accepting her daughter being gay, but in that instance the girls were 100% in the wrong!

It’s a good theory! Also, the Emily and Maya scene at the end is one of my favorites
