Very good episode. I never thought Dan and Serena sharing a sibling was strange or a reason for them not to date. The same thing happens when their parents are together. I just figure it's their life... you only get one, so enjoy it. Be with whomever you want to be with in order to be happy. However, because I grew up watching soap operas (and was even named after one), my tolerance for "controversial" relationships may be higher than others. I also have to keep in mind that these are kids who desperately care what others think of them, and whose social circle is extremely hateful. But the only time you'll see me judging or raising concern is if someone is being hurt or manipulated. π
