The episode is partly a homage of the cult classis film "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas", which is what the parts with Gemma and Daisy were based around (when Daisy was self narrating that is what happens in the film as one of the main characters visits casinos). They also had a theme for the hunter that is very similar to the Terminator theme, I assume it was on purpose.
