Jay is another character that was introduced in Chicago Fire after Dawson, Herman and Ottis bought Molly’s bar. Him and Dawson even dated for a couple of weeks. Ruzek did shoot that guy in the beginning and was checking on his progress throughout the episode. The shooting was the reason he had to go therapy to begin with, Hank was introduced in Chicago Fire when his son Justin got in trouble. He is the one that caused an accident in season 1 because he was driving drunk. Hank showed up and removed the beer from the car and tried to keep Casey from reporting his son, but we know how that turned out and Jason was sent to prison.
