2022-05-19 00:58:02 +0000 UTCI think it's easy to forget that Nate cheated on Blair with her best friend because they've stopped bringing it up but Blair sleeping with Chuck after she and Nate broke up just can't be equal to Nate actually cheating on her. I've never been a fan of the chuck/blair storyline you're seeing nor have I ever been a fan of chuck bc even if the writers want us too, I'm not going to forget the double attempted sexual assault from the first episode but I do think Blair deserves some sympathy for what she's going through.

2022-05-17 12:38:27 +0000 UTCI actually do feel bad for Blair, because she thought there was a real relationship with her and Nate, that he actually loved her and she loved him. Yes, she slept with Chuck after they broke up, while Nate during their relationship was telling her he loved her to her face and talking about loving Serena behind her back, being with Blair for a business deal for his parents and sleeping with Serena while he was dating Blair, cheating on her. It seems like based on what the show has said, that Blair and Nate have been together for a long time and Nate has been in love with Serena for a long time, so he has been lying and pretending with Blair for awhile, which I don't think was great. I feel bad for Nate when it comes to his parents and how terrible they are and they way they treat him, but I don't feel bad for him when it comes to Blair at all. While Nate's parents put a lot of pressure on him and treat him like a business deal so does Blair's mother, who's not great either.

2022-05-17 08:13:47 +0000 UTCI feel like Nate wouldn't have a leg to stand on with Blair and Chuck considering he slept with HER best friend when they were still together, and then led her on for months. At least they were broken up. I feel bad for Nate with his dad drama, but when it comes to Blair, Nate messed up and I feel worse for Blair. Just because her family isn't falling apart, doesn't mean Nate gets a free pass for breaking her heart and going behind her back, even at the masquerade party while she was (in her own, Blair way) trying to make their first time memorable, he was tracking down "Serena" and kissing her. Her phone was off that entire day, so she had no idea about anything and rather than wanting to track his girlfriend down to talk to her about it all, he was obsessed with finding and professing to Serena. And then he called her up after their break up to discuss getting back together (at his parents request, once again with no thought for Blair's heart in this) and giving her false hope, only to once again disappoint her by not showing up and not even calling her for her birthday, and hanging out with Jenny of all people. He seems to think Blair is just something he can pick up and drop at whim. He could have went to the party and talked about all of this with Blair so they could make a final decision, or at least clue her in on the fact he didn't want to get back together. Instead he left her thinking he had a "special" present for her that she never got, and effectively ruined her birthday. It's all well and good telling his parents he won't be with Blair for their benefit, but nobody told Blair that until Chuck did so he gets points for that from me. He's an entitled ass, but so is Nate--just about different things. From Blair's pov with no knowledge of his parents playing puppet master, he is stringing her along. And yes, she was being manipulative on the phone which isn't great, but she has grown up in the world where everything, even relationships, are business deals. And after multiple cases of cheating on her or trying to, she has every right to want him to work for her imo... For these reasons, I just can't be on Nate's side lmao. But I loved your reaction and it's great hearing other perspectives on what's happening.
