I love this episode tbh. It adds layers to so many characters. I remember watching this as a kid and being like "Idgaf about Lily/rufus drama." and now that I'm mid-20s, it's like the part I'm enjoying most lmao. Nate wanting Blair because she moved on is the exact reason I can never get behind them. He was bored in a relationship with Blair and had to chase Serena to keep himself entertained, and now Blair is the one he can't just have at his beck and call, it's her he wants. It's actually very on-brand for his character at this point. I feel like this episode is a turning point for certain characters and really catalysts the rest of the season. BTW you should for sure add John Tucker Must Die to your polls!

2022-06-01 01:35:06 +0000 UTCI agree. Nate 100% was "falling" for Blair again because she was giving the signs of being unavailable/unattainable just like Serena. Almost like he's bored so when he sees something exciting and chase worthy, it perks his interest. Don't get me wrong, I do think it could also be nostalgia for the old relationship, but it is majority this unattainable aspect.

2022-06-01 00:50:57 +0000 UTCnate saw how happy blair was without him and it made him want her more. i don't believe he actually likes or wants to be with blair at all. he just doesn't want her to be with someone else. he likes the chase and winning over the unattainable. this also explains why he was so into serena at a point too. kinda gross on his part tbh.
