So did I. David and Lauren had the best chemistry imo. I like Luke, but I always thought him and Lorelei were better as friends.

Luke and Lorelai had a bad break-up so it's normal that they aren't part of each other's lives and since the show is called Gilmore girls, it means we get to see less of Luke. It also feels like they are juxtaposing the two relationships. Luke was always endgame and Chris was the one that got away and we are now getting to see what happens when Lorelai chooses option B which Chris fans like. Also, Chris is showing up in all the ways Luke refused to; letting her be in Gigi's life, HE proposed, and he takes charge which often Lorelai had to do in her relationship with Luke. So it makes sense how she thinks this is it. P.S: I love Lane and her mom's relationship last and this season.

2022-06-05 02:34:53 +0000 UTCTo give you a little bit of hope: Lauren Graham also wasn't quite happy with the writing of the seventh season and became a producer of the show for the second half of the season. I think the episodes got a bit more varied/eventful/entertaining towards the second half, but don't get your hopes up regarding the general story line....or just maybe a little ;)

Don't get me wrong I don't like Lane's storyline but when I watch season 7, I find that it is one of the few bright spots in the season. I really dislike Lorelei's storyline, and Rory is just so very boring and very nothing that I just enjoy watching Lane, Zach and Mrs. Kim interact on my screen. So many mixed and confusing feelings. LOL.

There is a ton of things copied badly from the last seasons, and the writers had an even worst plan for this season at the beginning.... I will write it out at the end of the season, because spoilers :) Not sure how to help you be more positive about this season, I usually skip this season apart from the last episode.. Not a fan of the storyline of Lane in this season, neither is the original GG writer, Amy S Palladino
