Not fond of how they chose to slow Naley down in season 2, but in the grand scheme of things, considering the huge decision they made and their ages, it makes sense. It also shows how much they rushed things in season 1. I love how they pace Naley in season 3 as a result of season 2. In this episode in particular you can see how much they have grown; How mature they are now handling their marriage. They both acknowledged their role in what went down in season 2 and how they could have handled things differently. It's not about all or nothing or ultimatums. They don't get to be selfish teenagers anymore. Tough lesson to learn at only 17, but they really want this marriage to work. The foundation they are building for them this season is one of the best storylines of the season. I also liked Peyton's storyline with Ellie. Wish that could have lasted the whole season at least cuz the next one just ain't it 🙄.

Nathan’s development as a character is something i am so fond of in shows, when a-hole of a character grows and not in a quick, rushed manner but in the way 1TH is doin it. Cuz hes still a dick to lucas but things take time. Peyton, ughh, my heart goes out to her smh. So sad how the ep ended🥲🥲. The actress playjng her is SOO GOOD, with her voice breaking up and her really sounding in pain. Such a tragic end to her mom. The flame went out RIP

2022-06-09 07:45:27 +0000 UTCThe reason why this show has such a special place in my heart is because it takes its time. That's why I miss 22 episode seasons. Like, sure, there will be filler episodes, but we also get a brilliant episode like this one that is slow and actually does care about its characters and its relationships very deeply. The Brooke/Lucas stuff might be my least favorite of the episode, but was still done well. Peyton will always be a ghost in the relationship between Brooke and Lucas, and I like the way it was acknowledged here. The Rachel/Mouth conversations were also solid, but I particularly enjoyed Naley this episode and the Peyton storyline is just so heartbreaking. Just a beautiful episode all around. The hug in the end kind of signifies a a lot of thigns between the Lucas/Peyton/Brooke relationship and it was really sweet.

2022-06-08 17:04:28 +0000 UTCI know Rachel is pretty much the mean girl to everyone else but I really love that she seems to want and keep a genuine friendship with Mouth. It's really sweet. Her outlook on what "hot guys" do to get girls - be mean, dismissive, play games and be generally demeaning a-holes - is really sad cuz that's really what she thinks she deserves in a guy. I'm glad Mouth showed her that there are better guys in the world who DON'T do such things. I'm also more of a Rachel/Mouth friendship shipper. I don't want them to turn romantic. Their friendship is so sweet as it is. As for Naley, I'm glad they've resolved their issues and I'm glad they both took a step back and were like "yeah, we messed up. It shouldn't have been all or nothing. We could have supported each other to get our dreams instead of trying to hold each other back". I think this storm was a GREAT turning point in their marriage tbh. I had to pause when Peyton was in the car on the way to show Ellie the CDs. I was at work and I was already tearing up. I'm gonna watch that last part of the episode now I'm home and sob for her. Damn, Peyton...she has the WORST luck.

2022-06-08 11:42:24 +0000 UTCI think we needed this quiet episode esp for what’s to come. But this episode also delivered some important emotional moments for everyone - Naley finally resolving their issues from last season, Peyton getting some important life lessons before mom #2 passes away, Keith and Karen finally having sex, Dan getting darker and darker and Brooke finally fully trusting Lucas.

2022-06-08 09:56:10 +0000 UTCI really liked this episode, it was a great relationship episode. Everyone had such great relationship moments even Dan had a moment, a flashback to his relationship with his brother. I also felt so much for Peyton in this episode, also Hilarie Burton did some great acting in this episode.
