For me it feels like Lorelai is in a sort of denial about her relationship with Christopher and how much she hurt after Luke. Probably because I've almost been there. Had a long term relationship end because he didn't see a future with me and I rebounded hard, got engaged right away, and kept telling myself and others how "right" it was. But it wasn't. Luckily I came around and ended things before we actually got married. I feel like Christopher was always her "what if" and so she's finally getting to explore that. Maybe it is real love but maybe it's also just wanting it to be real love. Time will tell.

In this movie, the main character is about to marry a rich man but at the end realizes her real love is her ex and marries him instead. I believe Luke is thinking back at when Lorelai proposed to elope with him to Maryland, the day of the ultimatum. And Lorelai in general. The scene of the movie mentions "Two years ago, you were invited to a wedding in this house and then I did you out of it by eloping to Maryland.."

2022-06-07 09:12:05 +0000 UTCApril's mom is in Arizona taking care of her mother, that's why Luke has April right now. Gigi is currently in Paris with her mother, hence why Chris and Lorelai went there, to take her to stay with her mother for a while. Basically, everyone is with their mother. π
