Clarke is basically like... imagine you're in eastern Europe sometime around the year 1220 and you've heard all about this Genghis Khan guy who is supposedly responsible for the deaths of about 30 million people. It's the middle ages - you have limited information beyond what gets to you by word of mouth. Do you know if the guy is, himself, some great warrior? No. Do you know if he personally has killed ANYONE with his own hands? No. But he's talked about like the spectre of Death incarnate and everyone's afraid that he's going to destroy your town. Clarke isn't some badass warrior, the grounders have just all heard that she's responsible for the deaths of hundreds of people and that gives her a sort of legend status given the way these stories tend to travel in primitive societies.

It's because she killed a lot of people(like 300 or something like that) and ended mountainmen while at it. So grounders believe she has power, and who kills her will take her power. It was mentioned in the 1st episode, so it's not really about badassery fighting. Although, she has some skills and she is a survivor(she had to learn these 3 months to survive on her own)

2022-06-08 08:06:30 +0000 UTCAs someone who ships Bellamy and Clarke together and is a Bellamy fan, I do Believe that Bellamy cares quite deeply for Clarke and does have feelings for her and those feelings are recognized by Bellamy at some point this season and are even confirmed in an interview for this season by Bellamy's actor Bob Morley but i will say elaborate more when it gets to that moment bur yes I do believe he very much does though because he doesn't hesitate to go towards her when sees her through the scope but gets stopped, worries in the cave and then bravely but recklessly goes through the Ice Nation Army whilst dressed in Ice Nation clothes to get to her plus he instantly lights up when he sees her and then proceeds to still try to go after her and Roan even though he's got a stab wound in his thigh. Roan is Ice Nation, he is a prince because his mother is the queen but he was banished and he brought Clarke to Lexa in as a deal for her to lift his banishment but Lexa went back on the deal because the queen doesn't respect the coalition which is really unfair to Roan because he has nothing to do with what his mother does especially since he's been banished.
