2022-06-10 11:21:05 +0000 UTCPoor Flutie. This episode is generally considered one of the lowest ranked episodes of Buffy, but I consider it one of my guilty pleasures of the earlier seasons. It is always interesting when seeing a main character of a show turn to the darkside. Hyena Xander is a creep, but the eerie scenes are eerie and seeing the Xand-man being the leader of a maneating gang is pretty crazy, but again.... poor Flutie and poor Herbert.

2022-06-09 21:18:59 +0000 UTCI think this was a pretty important episode for the show, as this was where I feel like they were making a declaration to their audience that they weren't afraid go quite dark, certainly darker than most were probably expecting, with their themes. And killing the principal like that was indeed a bit of a shock as well, imo.

2022-06-09 11:45:41 +0000 UTCI like how this episode shows that Xander has it in him to be a leader. A scary leader, but a leader nonetheless. The pack saw him as an Alpha for a reason. I mean technically they saw Buffy as an Alpha but Xander was the Alpha of their group. And the dodgeball scene was amazing and creepy. Love it.
