2022-06-11 02:49:01 +0000 UTCJackson planned to take hailey and hope to the woods. Then he tells Aiden to show up early. Hailey seems to agree with jackson and wait outside of compound early. Aiden was conflicted because of his whole thing with Klaus and doesn't show up to take them, telling jackson he was stuck in traffic as his fake reason. Meanwhile marcel went looking for them in their room and couldnt find them and then started looking for them and caught them in front of the compound. Then Hailey said its about time, acting as if they were waiting for marcel all along

She even asked him "Are you sure this is the best way to keep her safe?" to which you replied "NO! Don't go into the woods! She's going to find you!" THAT was when Hailey mentioned that Elijah and Klaus are two of the most powerful vampires in the world, and Dahlia even has THEM spooked. And Hailey said she didn't want Hope to be around to see what happens if Elijah and Klaus fail. That's when she decided to go all in w/ Jackson's plan. Which was to have Aiden meet them w/ their getaway ride at exactly 8:45pm. Jackson knew that would be well before Marcel & Co. would come around to take Hailey and Hope to the bar where the old witch cast the No Magic spell. So he and Hailey and Hope were out there at the designated rendezvous point waiting on Aiden to show up at 8:45. Aiden had divided loyalties. On the one hand, he wanted to help his Alpha and lifelong friend/mentor Jackson. On the other hand, he was also playing double agent for Klaus on the DL, and he couldn't decide between helping Jackson and keeping their secret, or reporting to Klaus what Jackson had planned for his daughter and Hailey. He decided on neither. He was a no show at the rendezvous point, which is where Marcel found them trying to run away. He suspiciously asked them if they were going anywhere. Hailey knew they were caught by that point, so she just played along, and acted like they had been waiting on them to get there all along. And they reluctantly went w/ Marcel to that bar, since Aiden screwed Jackson's plan up so completely. And his excuse to Jackson for why he missed their 8:45 appointment was because he was stuck in traffic. And Jackson, though furious, apparently bought it. That's pretty much the breakdown of what you were confused about.
