part of why i love this episode is just how the adults handled everything. they knew cory probably cheated but they wanted to give him the opportunity to come forward on his own and to use his own conscience to step forward on his own, though they were definitely giving him little nudges. i love the early years of corey and shawn because too often characters are painted as good or bad. you're either a good kid or a bad kid. with boy meets world it just shows kids being kids and sometimes not having the best judgement but not automatically having that take away from their morals. i just really like that about the show. i like how the parents let their kids develop their own inner voice, from letting morgan dress herself to letting cory kind of stumble upon this lesson. they don't withhold discipline, he still gets grounded in the end, but they're always extremely fair and pretty open. it's just kind of cool to see that.

2022-06-22 01:45:07 +0000 UTCI love this episode! Haha I love how neither Feeny or Amy and Alan accused Cory of cheating. They all knew it was more likely that he did than he didn't, because they all know him and know he's not THAT smart. But they never once actually accused him of it, they gave hints that they knew, but never outright said it until it had come out that he'd cheated. I just love them. And I love Cory and Shawn managing to come to the conclusion that nothing that happens is ever their fault and they're completely innocent. That scene has to be one of my favourites from the first season just because it perfectly shows these two and their dynamic. They're idiots, but they're also actually really smart just not in the way people want them to be... Haha Morgan as a zombie is adorable! I love her! She's so cute!

2022-06-21 09:36:11 +0000 UTCFeeny is the best!! And Minkus is still there because he is smart, but not at the level of which Cory had tested. Even when Feeny was announcing the test scores and Minkus thought he was talking about him, Feeny said the one person tested higher than him, in fact "blowing you out of the water". So basically Cory tested MUCH higher than Minkus ever could. Minkus is where he should be. He's smart, but not genius.
