That's a good point I hadn't thought about before, in reference to her being upset because they were upset with her and not because she had done something wrong. She blames Marty and Logan too instead of herself.

2022-06-22 14:39:06 +0000 UTCI think you are too harsh on Lucy and Olivia and not harsh enough on Rory. She is not a child and she could have said something before. Rory had time to process what she wanted to do in this situation and if she really felt uncomfortable she should have said something. To put it perspective she has only known these girls for 2-3 months and has been lying to them for about half that time, if not more. That doesn't bode well for the friendship or to build trust. If I met someone and was starting to be their friend and I found out that they were lying to me since practically the moment we met, I wouldn't want to listen to them either, at least in the moment and would need time to calm down. Plus the acting choices made it seem super selfish on Rory's part. She wasn't upset that she hurt her friend but more she was upset that someone (or two) people where upset with her. Those tears at the end, where very woe is me and make me have little sympathy for Rory.

2022-06-21 17:27:27 +0000 UTCI don't think they're idiots for not hearing her out. How long has this been going on? How many opportunities has she had? Lucy only found out because of Logan. Not from either of the two lying. I don't know if I would listen either. At least not the day it happened. Give her a few days to process. Also, not to justify Logan but Marty started it. Twice. First by the initial lie and then at dinner when he made a trustfund jab at Logan. That just set him over the edge. I'd be a big upset too if I found out my significant other was hanging out with someone from his past who had feelings for him and not telling me. I do understand Christopher a bit. His presentation is wrong, but all decisions have been Lorelai's. It's like he's still not a part of her life even though they're married. Now, he went about it all the wrong way.
