2022-06-22 22:32:23 +0000 UTCThis episode is one of my favorites in season one mostly because I really enjoy Pacey and Joey's dynamic. Pacey really brings out a more playful and interesting side to Joey as opposed to her usually being hung up on Dawson. I completely agree about Dawson's behavior in this episode being selfish, this is something his character has suffered from so far because he seems to want it all, he gets jealous when Joey is around other guys but doesn't see her romantically and he's obsessed with Jen, like make a decision. I personally think Jen at this point believes that Dawson is something she had been missing in her life, he brought her a sense of innocence and security in her relationship but she then realized that he can't fill the void she felt was missing from her own personal growth. I think that's why she seems less into him bc she simply isn't happy as a person at this point and that overshadows whatever serious romantic feelings she could have for him.
