There are a couple major differences between the Daphne and Lim situation vs the Bay and Emmett situation. Bay and Liam actually dated, Daphne never even showed any romantic interest in Emmett until literally the last couple of days. Bay said she didnt want Daphne to date her ex boyfriend, which she later backtracked on, she did not actively try to break Daphney and Liam up to be with him herself.

Now, everyone is very simply and plainly trying to get along and Angelo throws a wrench into this whole thing. She very obviously does want to get to know him, but she is afraid of what it can do to the family she's always known. But now, that it's real and present and Angelo wants to know Bay too? So, Bay isn't going to give up on him now. I don't mind a little love triangle. These are young teen girls. They're going to be jealous and petty when it comes to their hearts. It doesn't make me happy that Daphne is going to pursue Emmett, but it does make sense.

As far as the love drama and Bay bringing Angelo how, I think sometimes people forget that they are two 16 year old girls. I didn't always make the best decisions or think things through at that age. And for Bay, trying to find her dad was an exciting mystery and fantasy to figure out. Him showing up turned fantasy into reality. That changes things.
