I think what really got under Chris’s skin was how Lorelei is mentioned Luke being there for Rory. He was the better man when he wasn’t there, now he’s trying but it’s too late.

2022-07-14 21:21:53 +0000 UTCI never thought of the possibility of Christopher being dead. That may have actually been better. Even apart, Luke takes care of Lorelai. Though that makes their whole April dynamic even worse. He cares for Lorelai so much, but then when April came around he treated her so poorly. I guess in the real world that could be realistic, but never felt realistic for Luke. Yet, Christopher letting her down is just expected and who he is.

Besides, Lorelai is not the yelling-when-mad kinda girl, she's more the brutal-silent-treatment kinda girl. But either way Christopher was a total jackass. If I were Lorelai I probably would've dumped him then and there. This is just a red line married people don't cross. You fight or disagree or whatever, but in an emergency situation you show up, you always show tf up. And then he had the nerve to make rude comments towards Luke?! Unacceptable.

2022-07-13 07:55:32 +0000 UTCluke would always go to the end of the earth for lorelai, regardless of where they stood with each other. christopher, on the other hand, apparently fell OFF the face of the earth for an entire day after lorelai wrote a character reference to help luke gain custody of his kid.
