Julie Gonzalo plays the mean girl, and you may recognize her from A Cinderella Story, where she also plays the mean girl. She also appears in Christmas with the Kranks as Jamie Lee Curtis's daughter. Lindsay is an amazing actress. From her beginnings as a child soap actress at the age of nine to The Parent Trap, Life-Size, Mean Girls, Georgia Rule, and this film. A very underappreciated actress. I could've done without Chad. Don't get me wrong: I enjoy hearing him sing "Baby One More Time," but you are correct about him being a creepy stalker. Everything else, on the other hand, was enjoyable.

Chad Michael Murray was indeed at his peak in the early 2000's. The guy was simply everywhere lol And honestly, he was hilarious in this film (although he is always kind of playing the same role in everything - I guess that is kind of the appeal in love interest role). And to be fair, he really only stalked her mother for a day! (I sincerely don't know if this makes it better or worse lmao). All in all, this is probably my favorite Lindsay Lohan film (and maybe my favorite Lindsay performance?) If you want to see more Lindsay, I would suggest Get A Clue or Confessions of A Teenage Drama Queen, which are both really really fun too!

2022-07-27 17:21:35 +0000 UTCI had such a good time watching along with this one! You're right...Jamie Lee Curtis is great in it. It seems like modern actors today don't always put themselves into the role quite that much. Sometimes they are missing the facial expressions or the small things they do with gestures. Anyway, we had a run of great teen comedies and romantic comedies back in the late 90's- early 2000's. I wish they still did movies like this. The stopped making mid-budget movies now, which is what all of these were. That's why they are gone now. They either want to take a chance on a shoestring budget or do big blockbusters that they think are guaranteed winners. MOST cult classics were mid-budget movies though, so it's a real shame they are gone.

2022-07-26 03:29:47 +0000 UTCI think as far as body swap teen movies/romcoms goes, I think "It's a boy-girl thing" edges out freaky friday for me, but both movies do the concept so well!
