Switched at Birth "Self-Portrait With Bandaged Ear" 1x13 Reaction

I agree that leaving 3 year old Daphney was a crappy thing to do, and it really sucks for Daphney. But we done know how those 1st 3 years were, I would imaging that always thinking that Daphne was the result of the woman he loved cheating on him with someone else would affect, at least subconsciously, the way he feels about Daphney and might over time come out in his actions/behavior, especially if he is continuously at odds with Regina because of that mistrust. And honestly, as crapy as it was to just leave Daphne and as bad as I feel for Daphne about that, the alternative is what, being forced to take care of a child that is not his who he thought was the product of the woman he loves being unfaithful? How is that fair to Angelo? Also, as hurt as Daphny is by Angelo leaving her, I feel like some (if not most) of her anger is unfairly based on Regina's (one-sided) largely fictional description of him. I mean before he returned and even when he returned, she was constantly acting like he only left because Daphney went deaf, completely ignoring his obvious concerns about Daphney not resembling him and to omitting their arguments about his concerns up to and including him getting a DNA test proving she was not his daughter. As for the Emmit thing, she may finally be accepting Emmet's choices as his own but she is still clearly laying the blame at Bay's feet, ignoring what I feel could be the more obvious reason for his change in behavior, his parents' divorce. Divorce usually has that kind of act out effect on a child and it was mentioned that not only are his parents "getting" divorced but his dad is seeing someone new, so maybe that plays a little more of a role in Emmet's behavior than a new girlfriend; not to mention pining for several years over a girl who never acknowledged his feelings until after he finally moved on.

This was a pretty meh episode for me, but fine nevertheless. And I honestly get where Melody is coming from. If she was putting it ALL on Bay, I would be upset, but she's seeing these drastic changes in her son when he starts dating a hearing girl. And, she's still having these fights with him or grounding him, so it's not like she thinks Emmett is faultless. Melody has talked at LENGTH to Emmett about everything going on, and even in those conversations, she didn't remove Emmett's responsibility. And honestly, Angelo is a coward. I get how tough it is to feel like your partner is lying to you about something as big as that, but I feel like if you're raising a person, leaving them like that will always be a crap choice.
