I love that Amy and Alan are real parents. I feel too often now with sitcoms everything parents do and say and is just to set up a joke. They feel like real people with their own lives. I think keeping it from the kids was just part of the fun. Maybe just something special that is just between Alan and Amy. I want to say they touch on this in future episodes. I think a lot of people think kids should be the end all and be all of a couple's relationship but they have to want to be together long after the kids are grown and gone.

2022-08-03 02:57:25 +0000 UTClove this episode! i love how amy talks to her boys in that scene. the way she's so open with them and her saying "you know me inside and out, you know my heart." i love that. the relationship shown between the parents and the kids and the parents and each other is just so solid and lovely to see! also the little ending bit where corey calls his mom his spirit guide. that was everything. i just love the dynamics of everyone in this show. another really great episode!
