I thought the play was funny and I liked that they brought Marcus ack. Definitely agree and get frustrated with the Lucas/Peyton love triangle drama. Please keep watching though there's a lot of great stuff to come as much as there are also some less realistic storylines. Peyton and Jake were really good together and honestly had better chemistry and they didn't need to mess that up.

2022-08-27 22:30:26 +0000 UTCI'm not a Leyton fan or Brucas fan, but I didn't see that they emerged out of nowhere. There were times when it was purposely unclear who she was talking about when it came to someone she loved that got away. On another note, I thought Lucas' feelings for Brooke in season 2 emerged from nowhere. All of a sudden by mid-season she was the girl in his heart. I saw no hints leading up to that reveal. The Lucas one was more shocking to me than Peyton's. With Peyton's it was more dreading the emergence of the triangle.

2022-08-09 07:59:35 +0000 UTCI think even the leyton fans would agree Peyton's feelings for Luke emerge out of nowhere this time round, but I can't wait for season 4 onwards. Those are my favorite seasons for sure.

2022-08-06 21:38:01 +0000 UTCI thought Peyton had some good storylines this season, everything with her mother, making the benefit album, having to deal with almost dying in the school shooting and since I liked seeing Jake again, that storyline as well. Although I wasn't a fan of the random Pete from Fall Out Boy or Lucas storylines.

2022-08-06 04:54:26 +0000 UTCAgreed. If you look past the Leyton crap, there are some incredible story arcs coming up. Even individually, nothing at all to do with the triangle, Peyton and Luke have some cool stuff coming.

2022-08-05 13:56:38 +0000 UTCI know the whole Peyton and Lucas thing is bad... I wasn't a fan of Peyton's storyline this season...... But I beg, PLEASE keep watching. It's my favorite show ever. The show only gets better, in my opinion.. and I'd really love to see your reaction.

2022-08-04 16:32:56 +0000 UTCThis arc bummed me out a lot, was so happy when Jake came back. This endless triangle B/P/L always feels so forced. God bless Sophia though she turns in some performances here and coming up.

2022-08-03 21:23:17 +0000 UTCThis was a meh episode for me as well but feel it was needed as a set up. And I agree, love triangles are not my favorite. Especially with P/L/B in this show. I liked Peyton with Jake better. I'm not team either of them with Lucas lol.

2022-08-03 18:43:00 +0000 UTCeverything you are saying is correct. rehashing peyton/lucas is redundant and annoying as hell. especially after the show went out of their way this season to tell us that lucas and brooke are meant to be. and yes...after peyton's confession at the end of the episode, brooke would be completely justified in ending the friendship. she's already forgiven her once for this, but two times...nope. we can't be cool ever again.

2022-08-03 18:38:49 +0000 UTCI agree. It doesn’t make any sense to me why people are super pissed at Peyton (and Lucas for that matter) when this is clearly destroying Peyton from the inside out and Lucas doesn’t even know what’s going on. In Season 1, they indulged in each other and all of the secrecy and dishonesty and betrayal. They even used it as a reason why their feelings for each other were so intense. This season, Peyton and Lucas have found the value of their friendship and what it means to truly be there for one another. Peyton hates that she’s feeling this way and Lucas is oblivious/clueless and in love with Brooke. Literally zero people have cheated and lied in this scenario.

2022-08-03 17:44:03 +0000 UTCi’ve seen the whole show multiple times and in my opinion peyton and lucas are the worst characters to me. i even like dan better than them😭😭😭
gabby
2022-08-03 16:50:40 +0000 UTClucas and peyton are just cheaters. if you’ve seen the WHOLE show you know that. they’re not innocent teens who have little cute feelings for each other. they sneak behind peoples back and kiss each other while lucas is always in a relationship. it’s happened multiple times. and you know what i’m talking about

2022-08-03 16:47:26 +0000 UTCI do like Brucas' chemistry but you're right. She deserves so much better than Luke. It's crazy that we started the show with Luke as the good brother but it's Nathan we're rooting for most of the time now. Luke isn't a bad guy but this whole thing screwed up Brooke so badly I can't like him anymore

2022-08-03 16:38:00 +0000 UTCI genuinely believe to this day that they restarted the whole Leyton thing again for no other reason than for the wellbeing of Sophia Bush, who must have despised having to be so lovey dovey onscreen with CMM while going through a painful divorce with him. It's the only way I can stomach Leyton which, at this point, is so senseless and pointless that I do skip their scenes during rewatches. I, too, got super angry at the Leyton reveal the first time I watched it. The guy claimed to be in love with Peyton for forever, then BARELY tries to get past her defenses knowing how tough she was to get through, got together with her BEST FRIEND SINCE ALMOST BIRTH, which should have told his dumb ass that he and Peyton can NEVER happen in the future regardless of what happens with Brooke cuz there is a CODE, and then cheated on the poor girl, giving her so many insecurities and complexes that she's gonna need several years of therapy to get over. And now this? Again!?!? It's honestly why Lucas and Peyton are my least fav characters up to this point cuz they just don't learn from their mistakes and they don't evolve as characters. So far, we haven't seen Luke’s reaction to this whole thing and I've skipped past the Leyton thing for so long that I genuinely forgot what happens with them next but I do know that I don't care for them. I keep watching for Naley and Brooke tbh. They have AMAZING storylines in the coming seasons. It sucks that they ruined Peyton's character cuz she's all rocker music chick and she could have been so cool and I do adore Hilarie Burton but oh well...

2022-08-03 16:35:30 +0000 UTCI was honestly thrilled with this Leyton reveal and not just because I shipped them from day one, but... I knew Sophia (Brooke) had to be suffering every single day on set having to be affectionate to the man (Chad, aka Lucas) who cheated on her and who she was actively trying to divorce, in front of the entire world. Anyway, I am so excited that we are almost to season 4! I love season 3, but I love season 4 even more!!

2022-08-03 14:36:57 +0000 UTCMe too, Team Breyton all the way!!

2022-08-03 14:35:34 +0000 UTCMaybe that's just me but in a true friendship you can't just hide something this big. Yes, Peyton would never act on it, but her feelings would still be there. She'd constantly have to lie to Brooke and try to avoid Lucas or Lucas and Brooke together without ever giving her an explanation. That would create distance and dishonesty between them and that would've hurt their friendship just as much. This way at least it's all out. But yeah, there is no good decision to be made here on Peyton's part. Whether she tells or not, it sucks either way. So Peyton chose to not make the same mistake as she did before and rather say how she feels.

2022-08-03 14:07:27 +0000 UTCThat's why I said from Brooke's perspective it's a breach of trust bc all she will see is history repeating itself. And I get that that might not be 100% fair towards Peyton who has not cheated or done anything really wrong, but I also understand that for Brooke that is just her biggest wound that she just began healing and that she forgave both of them for. So that's why I meant it's way messier now. Because this time we have the history behind it and all three of them have grown so much and all their feelings and relationships with each other have deepened as well. That's why I never understood the whole "Team Peyton"/"Team Brooke" thing. I am Team Breyton, I am Team Friendship. They are both in a really sucky situation that they both didn't ask for but it makes sense for both their characters to act the way they do and feel the way they do.
thisismaria27
2022-08-03 14:02:32 +0000 UTCDefinitely keep watching!! You've got some great episodes coming. Like, really good 👀 Just don't focus to much on the relationship stuff, it's a teen drama and they loved playing girls off against each other.

2022-08-03 13:58:24 +0000 UTCPeytons had a great season, i agree. I wouldn't say they betrayed her trust this time though. Luke is completely oblivious and has all thoughts on Brooke, and Peyton pushed down her feelings to where she only realised them in this episode due to Jake pushing, and then she immediately told Brooke proving that she would be honest with her. So the only thing that's being held back is the kiss, which was during a moment in an extreme situation which they thought would just hurt Brooke by telling her. Although, in my opinion they should have told her then because if she finds out at any point it will seem like a betrayal.

2022-08-03 13:56:47 +0000 UTCOk, so here's my two cents on the Peyton situation: I don't think at all that they didn't know what to do with her, quite the opposite actually. This entire season had a great arc for Peyton. First, she let a new person in her life and learned the lesson that life is not only about survival but about truly living, which was important and made her face some big choices. Then she lost her other mom too and had this traumatic experience with the school shooting. That made her look for love and safety, which led to the whole Fall Out Boy/Jake decision. Throughout all of this Lucas was always by her side - her mom, the shooting, all of it. And Peyton now realised that her feelings never fully went away. After the whole desaster in s1 she had to bury them and since her and Lucas stayed friends till now, she never fully lost him either. So ofc now she has to examine that and follow her heart, even if it's not easy. That's also why she told Brooke - she knows life's too short to not be honest, the only way her friendship to Brooke would've any real chance of staying alive was through the truth. We all know what happened last time when she didn't. Now I'm not saying that Brooke will appreciate that bc from Brooke's perspective her two closest people betrayed her trust once again. But it is in line with Peyton's journey this season and her growth as a person.

2022-08-03 08:39:14 +0000 UTCTHIS!!! Lucas and Peyton were never "just cheaters". What I like about the season 3 love triangle is that nobody did anything really wrong here (meaning Peyton didn't hook up with Lucas and was just honest about her feelings, Brooke finally trusted both of them again and sadly still gets hurt). It's just that the pain from all the shit they did in season 1 gets reopened and that is what hurts. It's way messier this time around bc you care for all three of them now.
thisismaria27
2022-08-03 07:17:08 +0000 UTCPeyton and Lucas will never make sense to me. They hardly have any chemistry and Peyton has to be the worst friend in the show.

2022-08-03 06:29:06 +0000 UTCPeyton and Lucas, always a complicated pair of characters for a lot of people, either loving them, hating them or being somewhere in between. I have never been a fan of Peyton and Lucas, I also don't like cheating and since they had cheated when Lucas was with Brooke, it definitely made me not like them. I much preferred Peyton with Jake. But I don't think Peyton and Lucas really got to explore their feelings for each other, Lucas and Peyton liked each other but she was going through some things with her mother's death, with her mental health and just getting out of a bad relationship with Nathan, then Lucas came on far too strong and Peyton got scared, then Lucas decided to move on from Peyton because of her drama according to him, then they ended up cheating on Brooke, and thought that being together would continue to hurt Brooke so they pushed down their feelings and basically looked the other way, but that left them never truly exploring how they felt about each other. As for Peyton deciding to tell Brooke, I mean from Peyton's perspective, lying about her feelings and trying to push them down caused bad things to happen last time, so she's trying to do things differently this time, plus her mother died and she almost died, so she probably doesn't feel like going back to who she used to be. I don't entirely know what the right decision would be telling the truth hurt Brooke and maybe that make's it the wrong decision, however maybe lying would lead to something worse and end up hurting Brooke even more in the future.

2022-08-03 06:08:31 +0000 UTCTheir banter in those first few episodes were fun! Also, she was in an emotionally abusive relationship with his brother the first few episodes, so I get why it took her a little time to warm up to him. And I never liked Brooke and Lucas together, so I honestly don't understand their appeal, but with Luke and Peyton, I can at least see that they connect to each other on a deep level. It also helps that I like their characters individually while you clearly don't lol But from a writing standpoint, they were definitely meant to be the central pairing in Season 1 from the pilot episode, so I very much went along with it and honestly, I'm okay with that!

2022-08-03 04:06:01 +0000 UTCthe first episode?? 😭😭 she was so mean to him in the first few episodes. idk i never liked them at all. i’m not gonna ship them just because they both cheat and there’s no one else to ship them with. in my opinion him and brooke had much better chemistry and both balanced each other very well. don’t get me wrong though, i hate lucas and i think brooke deserves way better. i just like the idea of them if he wasn’t a cheater and her bff wasn’t a backstabbing bitch who can’t make up her damn mind.

2022-08-03 03:40:44 +0000 UTCWhat was the point of Peyton being honest to Brooke about this? The whole thing in season 1 was that they acted on it and went behind Brooke's back. Since then she's been insecure and has had trust issues regarding this. What did Peyton think would happen? She knew how Brooke felt, that this could happen again. Just a few epis ago Peyton reassured her that this time would be different and she wouldn't hurt her. Also, she thinks and said Lucas is "insanely in love" with Brooke according to their convos after the kiss. Makes no sense why she just wouldn't let things play out and just hide her feelings and wtv was meant to be would be. Why risk her friendship over what she thinks is one-sided and would only trigger Brooke and hurt her? Guess she forgot their talk on the porch? 🤷🏽♀️

2022-08-03 03:18:16 +0000 UTCLucas and Peyton fan here! This was a long time coming and Peyton's storyline this season actually felt very intentional, especially when it comes to Lucas. In the first season, Peyton realizes her feelings for Lucas the episode after Lucas rescues her. And then, they had this very intense relationship that was truly never resolved. Flash forward to the beginning of Season 3, Lucas and Peyton spend the summer together and we get the line "It's always going to be there, isn't it? You and me." Peyton's subconscious even asks herself if Lucas should be with her instead of Brooke. And she also says that a certain song she was singing makes her think of Luke and then immediately "corrected" it to Jake. Peyton losing a mother and being in these other relationships in quick succession was clearly a cry for help and I am absolutely not surprised that after so much pain, she's realizing that she is still in love with the person who has been trying to help her through all the pain since the beginning where she was running red lights. I get this makes people mad, but I never understand why it surprised people lol It was pretty clear this is what they were going for from the start. Every major fight in Brooke and Luke's relationship has been about Peyton. Now, should Peyton have told Brooke? That's a tough one. I think from Peyton's side of things, she kept her feelings from Brooke in the first season which proved to be catastrophic. So, I'm assuming she believes that she is improving on their past by being honest. Also, I really don't think Peyton is doing anything "again." This has always been the popular discourse, but she kind of just realized she had feelings for Luke this episode. In Season 1, she buried it and left it festering, which caused it to explode. In this season, she's coming to terms with it herself and chose to avoid Lucas. We'll see how this plays out, but it takes two to tango and Peyton having feelings doesn't mean she'll act on them.

2022-08-03 02:52:14 +0000 UTCI like Lucas and Peyton as many things. I would say that I like their friendship the most. I think if all you think Lucas and Peyton are is cheaters and liars then you have to think of everyone as they were in the first season. Every one has changed and grown every season. What I respected about Peyton this episode is that she chose to be honest regardless of what the fall out was. Steven disliked as expected but maybe he will come around as time goes on.

2022-08-03 02:35:35 +0000 UTCI shipped Peyton and Lucas since the first episode before Brooke was even in the show lol And, in general, for me, shipping cheaters is much more understandable than shipping someone with a person who cheats on them.

2022-08-03 02:30:00 +0000 UTCyea i hate peyton and lucas’s whole storyline but whatever. i really liked her with jake. i don’t know how people ship peyton and lucas. their whole relationship is based on cheating and lying. it’s just gross. poor brooke:( the next episode is definitely a season finale😅😅😅 lmao i hope you enjoy it though
