Becky didn't bring the gun to school because of Brittany's crazy meteor apocalypse threat.. After the "meteor" turned out to be a dead ladybug Becky had a convo with Brittany about her fears of what comes after high school graduation. She brought the gun to "be prepared" when she has to leave school, where she feels safe & secure.
