This is one of my favorite episodes of the younger seasons. I love how Eric went back to class and told them hard truths. Topanga having a crush on Eric was so relatable when I was younger. I like how show shows real moments like this, getting crushes, realizing that may be more to life than the things you liked as a kid.

2022-08-18 12:25:23 +0000 UTCi also love the uniqueness of this episode. so far, cory (and shawn) have kind of been the focal point of the show. and with reason, cory being the main character and shawn being his "other half" lol but it was nice to see them more like side characters this episode. it wasn't about them. boy meets world does a great job of making episodes for every person. as good a job as they do making cory (and shawn) relatable to all genders, it was nice as a girl to feel like we had an episode just for us. because girls do tend to mature and think about these things earlier than most boys. so for a middle school girl to get an episode like this and be validated and heard right there along with topanga, it was just very important and special. and i'm glad cory and shawn (as much as i adore them) were kind of just spectators in this episode.

2022-08-15 04:24:08 +0000 UTCi love this message so much. it didn't shame topanga or try to discredit her feelings. it validated what she was feeling and going through while still telling her the message of "be careful." i thought it was so lovely to see this side of eric, the side that warned her not every guy will be after her with good intentions. i know his comments he makes throughout these episodes are just him being a dumb boy but it was so lovely to hear coming from him - the character that you could easily see as being just a womanizer it showed another, softer side of eric and i really loved that so much. i love eric, but i can see how some might not get his character these early episodes. so it was great to see him in a protective mode, giving young girls the lesson that not everyone will have good intentions and to use those brains of yours and your discernment. his talk with her is one of my conversations of the show. and again, i just love how it doesn't discredit what she's going through or invalidate her feelings she's not shamed or seen as boy-crazy. it was such a different and important approach.
