Oh, Penn's original hair. It's been a long time since I seen it. This is how I knew him when he came on the scene starting with two failed WB shows, The Mountain (great show!) and The Bedford Diaries.

2022-12-27 04:09:47 +0000 UTCI really hope he does Bridget Jones someday. The pinnacle of rom coms for me. But for October with Halloween, I'm hoping on Practical Magic and The Craft.

2022-08-15 03:44:42 +0000 UTCto me, the 2019 little women is up there with "a little princess" and "secret garden" and "heidi" in terms of my comfort movies, i absolutely adore it. i think stephen would really enjoy the uniqueness of romeo + juliet and really have fun with it

2022-08-14 00:53:50 +0000 UTCRomeo and juliet is an amazing movie in all aspects, acting direction, cinematic, it is excellent!

2022-08-13 13:27:13 +0000 UTCThe 2019 Little Women is one of more recent comfort movies. I used to have National Treasure on dvd

2022-08-13 03:45:05 +0000 UTCI think I love them so much bc me and my parents watched them so much. Those and the Austin Powers. I like to joke that my parents didn’t care about a rated R movie as long as it was funny

2022-08-13 03:42:41 +0000 UTCthose early 2000s ones just hit different didn't they

2022-08-13 03:06:54 +0000 UTCthat would be so fun!!

2022-08-13 03:06:27 +0000 UTCthis is fun!! i hope he considers some of these movies! i'd also like to throw in willow, national treasure (it's so bad it's good!), oceans eleven, dangerous liaisons, without a paddle, moulin rouge, about time, romeo + juliet, little women, the parent trap, second hand lions; along with bridget jones, the hunger games, remember the titans, little miss sunshine (god please do this one!!) before sunrise, before sunset, and all wonderful ones suggested above! there's so many good suggestions here with a mix that i think would appease 99.9% of people lol

2022-08-13 02:17:00 +0000 UTCStepbrothers and Talledega Nights were both 2000s films that I watched way to young but I still love them

2022-08-13 02:15:26 +0000 UTCHave you watched any of The Hunger Games movies?! That would be a good one
Emma B
2022-08-13 02:10:54 +0000 UTCI LOVE the early 2000s movie “Stick It” seriously underrated

2022-08-13 01:43:18 +0000 UTCi haven't seen that in ages and was looking for a movie to watch tonight.....you just helped find which one i'm watching :)
emily ღ
2022-08-12 23:30:30 +0000 UTCAlso another type of comedy is father of the bride, I think Steven would enjoy that! Also first wives club!
Mariella Nilsson🍉
2022-08-12 23:24:58 +0000 UTCTHE concept of the move could have been fun, but the movie couldn’t decide if it should be a comedy or serious so it just kind of became nothing much. They should have made the comedy part better. And the actors were not as good as in how to loose s Guy, or legally blond. And the movie didn’t really have a message, and the characters were to stereothypical. There are way better comedies out there!

2022-08-12 23:20:37 +0000 UTCI think your comment made allot of sense and was not rude in any way and I 100% agree!

2022-08-12 23:15:02 +0000 UTCunrelated but Just Like Heaven with young mark ruffalo and reese witherspoon...so good.

2022-08-12 22:24:02 +0000 UTCbridesmaids is soooo good!
Monica Emeline
2022-08-12 22:22:07 +0000 UTCI don't care how bad this movie really is, it's your typical trash "girl" movie. I saw it in theaters when I was 13 and still love it at 29.. can't fault the classics 😂

2022-08-12 22:21:18 +0000 UTCoops want to clarify!! i don't think stephen does a crummy job of anything but a situation that involves a movie he isn't excited for or wants to see, makes for not the best experience in total i should say. there's a lot of movies that i think he'd have a blast with and make for more engaging and fun reactions. i just want to clarify. i know he works hard and didn't mean for my "crummy" comment to come across as some kind of dig at him.
emily ღ
2022-08-12 19:46:54 +0000 UTCAmazing suggestions!! one that's a cheesy romcom that i love is a lot like love. it's very underrated in my opinion and not all that cheesy when you really look at it. i'm still hoping he'll do before sunrise and before sunset as a series on here. but bridget jones is a must!! so is bridesmaids!! i think there's a lot of movies that are more middle ground. i know there's lots of young people here and lots of people that like the throwbacks. there's so many like these suggestions that would appease those subscribers as well as those that want something geared more outside of the disney and nick bracket. i just watched "saving mr banks" and that was a gorgeous film. there's so many good ones i think he'd enjoy. i think a lot of people vote for the younger kiddie movies because they're excited for them and hope to see a reactor end up enjoying them. but stephen clearly went into this one unexcited - he even says so. so that makes for kind of a crummy reaction. as much as i love these movies i think he'd enjoy a lot of the suggestions in these comments and it'd be more enjoyable for everyone!
emily ღ
2022-08-12 19:43:48 +0000 UTCI haven't seen the second lot of suggestions you had, but YES to all the ones you said with Adam Sandler and This means War and what's your number etc. But I really do think BJD is the holy grail of Rom Com lmao. I also LOVE Bridesmaids. Also like action comedies such as Kingsman: The Secret Service. I think Steven would go crazy over that movie tbh.
AllieDoh
2022-08-12 17:11:35 +0000 UTCI really think he should react to bridesmaids! The humor is somewhat similair to how to loose a Guy, the cringe is there! And the romance is there too!
Mariella Nilsson🍉
2022-08-12 16:32:31 +0000 UTCAll very good suggestions here so far. My Personal faves are Bridget Jones, crazy stupid love & little miss sunshine
Tracy R
2022-08-12 12:59:08 +0000 UTCooh i forgot about Bridget Jones!! another one - not a romcom - i would love to see them cover is little miss sunshine. i'd love a breakaway from some of the kiddie romcoms and to do some films like little miss sunshine, dead poet's society, remember the titans, etc. there's so many to explore outside of the romcom genre - as much as i do love that one. there's so many films i would love to see covered here one day.
emily ღ
2022-08-12 05:44:00 +0000 UTCI second Bridget Jone's Diary. I think some more in the comedy vein that isn't quite so young would be good. Some other ones that are actually funny are Crazy, Stupid Love (which I think he'd actually enjoy), any of the Adam Sandler ones (50 First Dates, Just Go With it, Wedding Singer etc), This Means War, What's Your Number. Some dramatic ones (not funny)/ but popular that have kind of always stuck with me are the Before Series, A Walk in the Clouds, City of Angels, Penelope, The Lake House, Dan in Real Life, Love and Other Drugs, One Day. Then there are A LOT of obscure ones that I adore.
Terri
2022-08-12 05:02:49 +0000 UTCBridget Jones. Literally, one of the the best rom-coms of all time imo with an actual storyline.
AllieDoh
2022-08-12 04:41:03 +0000 UTCexactly what allie said!! it's just dumb fun. after a break up or a bad day, it was a good "girl movie" to watch with some junk food and wallowing lol because i knew it could always make me laugh. it still does to this day. and i have to say, i miss movies like this for teens. it's shit like the kissing booth etc. and i feel like there isn't just "dumb fun" movies anymore like this and she's the man. they aren't remarkable but they had heart and we're fun and enjoyable. but i think we need to find you another fun romcom type like how to lose a guy in ten days. you enjoyed that one a lot and i'd love if we could think up along her along that level to suggest!
emily ღ
2022-08-12 04:36:22 +0000 UTCDumb fun lmao. But I never saw it as Kate falling for John, more so that she saw him "change" and that's why she started to question herself and what she was doing, because she was becoming John Tucker herself, and realized she was more miserable doing what she was doing than being on her own. But the girls assumed she was in love with him because THEY'RE so into him, it's insane to them that she's not in love with him. But yeah, I agree, the ending left a LOT to be desired tbh, and it kinda wrecked the full point of the movie outside of the girls becoming friends. I do wish they had played up the kate/scott thing and showed John actually changing at the end.

2022-08-12 04:10:50 +0000 UTCwhoo!!! this movie is my guilty pleasure! little teenage me was absolutely gaga over sophia bush in it lol
