I dont know why you thought it was three years after the finale but its not its probably only been a couple days. if you remember aang only has until the end of summer to learn all the elements because that comet comes at the end of the summer and once the comet comes the fire nation is gonna use it to end the war so aang only has a couple months to learn and to fight the Fire lord
