They say that when you loose one of your senses the rest get stronger. Hearing, taste, smeller and touch. I also believe your sense of awareness gets stronger. Thats why she moved her head in Spencers' direction.

2022-09-06 06:48:48 +0000 UTCThe girls were 15 in the prologue. Which was one year ago. The poster says Alison would be 16 now and I believe most of the girls have their driver’s licenses so I assume they’re all 16 now. It’s definitely a weird thing they had going with the adult/teen relationships. I think it’s meant to be scandalous and sultry since the show is about secrets. The student/teacher affair, the sister and her older sister doctor fiancé. Even Aria’s dad had an affair with a student, though, she wasn’t a minor. Hannah’s mom is also having the affair with the cop. These plot lines would be a lot more controversial today, but they weren’t unaddressed back then, either. Many parents and adults constantly took the show to task for being on ABC Family at the time and promoting these kinds of relationships. I just enjoy the show because it’s entertainment and the actresses are all adults (except Alison was actually 15).

2022-09-06 06:46:01 +0000 UTCThe primary issue is intentional, though. They wanted the struggle of the teacher and student relationship. The Wren and Spencer one definitely works better with college.

2022-09-06 06:05:57 +0000 UTCThey really should have marketed this show as New-Adult (A bridge between Young adult and Adult) and set it in college. It would have solved so many issues.

2022-08-21 04:46:42 +0000 UTCIn case you wondering aria is 15 and ezra is 22 in the poilt/first season so there's a 7 year age gap, I was never a fan of aria and ezra I found it creepy and so wrong

2022-08-19 06:00:43 +0000 UTCOh, I 1000% agree. The show started when I was 12 and I was for sure an Ezria fan. I used the problem “didn’t age well” because I think there are a lot more active conversations about grooming and predatory relationships, and if the show was made now, it would not survive that criticism at all, while it clearly did at the time.

2022-08-18 18:37:18 +0000 UTCIt's not that it hasn't aged well, those relationships were NEVER okay. The problem with them is that when I was younger and watching the show I saw no problem. I was actively rooting for Ezria. That's dangerous...

2022-08-17 05:20:16 +0000 UTCMaya knew where Emily lived because they're neighbors lol You're upset at Wren/Spencer + Ezra/Aria for all of the right reasons. It's awful and that is one of the ways in which the show hasn't aged well - all of these predatory relationships that are being romanticized. Specifically looking at the Wren/Spencer thing, I think she likes him because he seems into her tbh. Don't think it's any deeper than that.

2022-08-17 05:19:09 +0000 UTCI do not like the Ezra and Aria thing either. Though I love both of the actors to pieces, Ezra (as a character) just rubbed me the wrong way from the very beginning. Aria is kinda boring to me sometimes lol. I do not enjoy watching their scenes together, it is completely disgusting and honestly such a wrong message to send to teens, which were the main demographic of this show as it was airing (I can say it from experience that there was a time I thought Ezria was cool). Same thing with Ren and Spencer, completely inappropriate but thankfully is not shove down our throats like Ezria lol. Anyways, I can't wait to revisit this show with you! It's been a while and seeing your reactions/commentaries is so fun. Let me tell you that you are in for a ride!! True rollercoaster of emotions, a bit of craziness and lots of suspense and theories.

2022-08-17 05:16:56 +0000 UTCI am having such a blast revisiting this show. I've seen it all the way through once but I've seen up to certain seasons several times. This show - as wild as it is - is like revisiting an old friend. I think it does such a good job of hooking you in and making you care about these characters - even if they aren't always likeable. It was such an iconic show at the time and still is and I am so excited you're so invested into it already! About Spencer again, I think she just wants to be seen and heard and listened to. It's always about Melissa and what she wants (example, that barn) while Spencer and her efforts and hard work get tossed aside. Again, I'm still hung up on that damn barn. So for someone to listen to her and see her and treat her as someone of value, I think she just latched onto that. They are meant to be very young young girls who are very vulnerable. It's why I take issue with these "relationships." Because they are so young and so vulnerable. But I can understand where Spence is coming from and what she is craving from someone, anyone. Someone go hug my girl please.

2022-08-17 04:16:03 +0000 UTCI believe the spencer thing is a combo of just messing/wanting what her sister has, or wants to mess it up. Also I think she knows if she breaks them up, maybe she can get her garage room back she made. “A” text did say spencer had a habit of kissing Melissa’s boyfriends. Don’t think she’s really into them.
