Exactly. The fact that Shawn looked for that article. Like, I doubt he was just randomly reading the magazine and it was there at the perfect time. It's more likely that he'd either briefly read it before and remembered it and so he went looking for it again, or he just went looking to find SOMETHING to make Cory feel better. Cory is like, the only thing he puts an effort into at this point in time. I love them so much!

Like mentioned above it's kind of the turning point for shawn and cory and you see just how close they really are. shawn doesn't put much effort into a lot at this point but he actively searched out that magazine with that specific article to share with cory to lift his spirits. and i do love seeing them all hang out with minkus. he's also been at corys house several times and even has helped them study so i definitely think there's nothing malicious there at all.

The "I knew you'd like it." is just adorable! And I feel like THAT moment is kinda the moment they start showing that they are closer than just School best friends who mess around and talk sports and stuff. Also, the last little scene has Minkus hanging with them without them making ANY comments towards him and I feel like that kinda shows that they ARE weirdly kinda friends with him. I mean, I know you've been kinda concerned by them always making these comments, but I just feel like it's very mutual. They have a back and forth relationship where both sides make these comments and none of them are truly bothered by what the other has to say. Yeah. Amy and Alan definitely didn't do anything wrong. It must be so hard having 3 kids who are all at very different stages in their lives with very different problems and interests. They clearly love them all, there are just times they can't keep up. They can't be there for all three of them at the same time. If there were only two kids, then they could, one would go to each, but they're outnumbered and they can't do that... That doesn't mean it doesn't suck for Cory though. I also really liked the line where he says he's been to a lot of kids' houses and met a lot of parents and can tell the difference between the good and bad ones. It's sad that there are bad ones, but I love that Cory is aware that his parents ARE good and that he is lucky to have them. (It's so messed up that kids are often LUCKY to have good parents... It should just be a given. But the world sucks and not everyone should be parents...) And Feeny driving him to the game is so sweet! I feel like that's the moment we kinda see that Feeny truly cares about Cory outside of class. He doesn't just care about him getting good grades or anything, he truly does care about him.
