Is Variety an Issue?
Added 2022-08-18 16:55:57 +0000 UTCHowdy ladies and gents, so based on the last update post it seems that there seems to be a split on Variety when it comes to Patreon. Some believe we have a good amount of different shows but some seem to feel we are skewed too much towards Kids/Teen shows over recently.
I thought we had a good mix but upon looking I guess if the 20+ shows we do more than half I guess you could say are more Kids/Teen shows.
So I guess I just need help understanding what kind of Variety you want. Do you not like that we do so many procedurals or comedy shows? Because under the “kids” category we only have 7 shows.
Some have asked us not to have so many different styles of shows and some have asked us to add more of a certain style.
If you could leave a comment with your opinion below please be civil and just be respectful when you comments. We want honesty but we want it in a respectful way.
So the shows we currently do are
None “Teen/Kids”

Chicago Fire- Brian

I know this is an older post but I had a bit of a break from Patreon and am still catching up. I just want to say that you are doing a great deal of shows and can't cater to everything every one wants. Finishing a series then moving on to a new one is a good idea. The categories seem a bit off on here for a few of the shows, but if you're going to put them into categories maybe limit each category. For example, you have 7 kids show listed, 14 non-kids shows, 12 teens and ten comedies at this point, not counting whats been added or changed since. Thats 43 shows, not including movies. Just react and replace when that show ends because no know is forever. AND PLEASE don't just stop reacting before your done with a season like with DW, that was/is upsetting to fans more than just not continuing to the next season. This last season was so good for the second half and last season had a pleasant surprise for Whovians. Also, you never started Torchwood, but again, you got a lot on your plate.

2022-11-29 17:09:02 +0000 UTCThe 100 airs at 9pm and has a rating 14 and above. I can't imagine anyone is putting Wizards of Waverly place and The 100 in the same category. A show that is aimed at 18-21 could still be classed as a teen show, but it's not what is being referred to here and none of the shows on the list fit into the category that he is talking about.

2022-09-15 15:41:23 +0000 UTCThere's a lot of crossover now between the top mainstream TV stuff and geek stuff, though, too. Like, The Sandman is the top show the last couple of weeks and there is nothing that is more cult/geek than the source material for that show. Then we get Rings of Power (Tolkein invented geek when he invented fantasy) and another Game of Thrones show (which is still sort of geek culture due again to the nature of the books). Combine that with the absolute avalanche of Star Wars stuff happening lately and it's like it's all geek all the time these days... no complaints here, of course; I'm just relieved Sandman doesn't suck.

2022-08-23 14:07:08 +0000 UTCAbsolutely bang on. I mean I think The 100 is a great reaction show but it's pretty much the definition of a teen drama.

2022-08-23 14:02:29 +0000 UTCEuphoria is not the problem really, shows and movies like this that present horrible behaviour in a way that makes it very appealing to teenagers to start acting this way have been produced for a long time now. It's just another one. But it's definitely sad

2022-08-20 04:58:30 +0000 UTCI get what you mean, but shows aimed at teen crowd are almost guaranteed to have this issue. And the fact that he doesn't enjoy when similar type of storylines occur in shows not aimed at teens just further proves it's not enjoyable for an adult like him or his audience who have similar taste.

2022-08-19 22:29:22 +0000 UTCHey! That's crazy! Dark Angel was the first show I bought the DVD's too. It was sort of my gateway drug to a lot more sci-fi/fantasy type stuff. I also pretty much agree with all your suggestions for continued/added.

2022-08-19 21:38:59 +0000 UTCWell put Mariella.

2022-08-19 21:33:19 +0000 UTCI think it depends on the writing in the show, actually. He seems to enjoy certain plot points in both of those shows despite them being in the realm of "silly teenage drama". He's reacted to shows not aimed at teens at all and had issues with certain writing choices so I don't think it's the type of show that's the issue...just the writing at certain points in all shows.

2022-08-19 12:29:25 +0000 UTCMaby some of the reactions in the comments about certain shows have to do with a marketing mismatch? The Name geeked out nation Will give certain assosiations and expectations, related to either geek culture or ”geeking out” on e specific genre, or choosing cult classics that are a little different. Firefly, Veronica mars, Buffy, freeks and geeks and fringe are examples of cult shows and inte that chategoty I would add twin peaks as a must watch! The good place and the big bang theory can also fit in. The superhero and fantasy shows can fit in. Older shows like my so called life can fit in, because it so different and ”wierd” and handled deeper themes and is artistic. Then show like Gilmore Girls can fit in because of rory and lane and Paris and the focus on school and pop culture being nerd related. One tre hill and these types of shows like dawsons creek that are more mainstream are starting to be less related to the name. The Disney stuff and mainstream movieas have no connection to the name. So making sure the core and majority of the content stays ”geek” when adding new stuff would be in line with expectations of the name. Hope this makes sense!
Mariella Nilsson🍉
2022-08-19 10:03:06 +0000 UTCMore than half the ones you list as "not" Teen/Kids shows are still shows I would categorize as being aimed largely at a teen demographic. When I think of shows for adults, I think of things like Mad Men, Succession, Breaking Bad, The Sopranos, etc. Or in the "genre" show category, stuff like BSG, The X-Files, Hannibal, The Expanse...a lot of the shows you seem to have given up on, which is a shame.

2022-08-19 09:28:33 +0000 UTCI currently watch/follow these shows: Mentalist - House - White Collar - Smallville - Agents of Shield - The 100 - The Good Place - Dawson's Creek - Swithced at Birth - Buffy - Angel - One Tree Hill - Gossip Girt - Gilmore Girls - Vampire Diaries - The Originals Shows I would love to see continueed or added are: Battlestar Galactica (best sci-fi show ever IMHO) - 24 - Dark Angel (1st show where I actually bought the DVDs) - Forever (ioan gruffudd is brilliant) - Numb3rs - Alias (you seemed to like the pilot) - Bones - Dollhouse (another great Whedon show) - Charmed (The original series) - Lost Grl - Covert Affairs - Rookie Blue - The Blacklist (James Spader at his absolute best) - Eureka - Continuum - Fringe - Orphan Black (Tatiana Maslany is the best actress ever) Overall I'm happy with the variety you offer, though maybe there's been too many kids show added lately - I don't mind them being added as such, I just wish they weren't being added all at once

2022-08-19 07:54:47 +0000 UTCEven if they don't react to it you should watch This is Us sometime. It's such a great show, there's a reason it got so much attention while it was on. Plus, Milo Ventimiglia...😍

2022-08-19 05:56:44 +0000 UTCRobke...that's exactly how I feel. Honestly I'm surprised it's so celebrated. To me, it's just pushing horrible behavior by a bunch of people that need better parents. The fact that there are young people watching it and embracing it makes me sad.
Terri
2022-08-19 05:08:06 +0000 UTCIt's very true if the reactor enjoys the show, the reaction will be way more fun to watch. But those who are not fans of the show will never click on it. So it's still only useful for those who wanted it in the first place, and hopefully they can attract a bigger crowd from YouTube. I've seen his The Vampire Diaries and Gossip Girl reactions. Both teen shows, and it's very clear Steven is not a fan of silly teenage drama. So hopefully Victorious and Suite Life can also offer some comedy.
Robke
2022-08-19 04:00:45 +0000 UTCIt IS lol. Teen dramas, teen problems, horrible teen behaviour glorified and romanticised as if it's a good thing.
Robke
2022-08-19 03:51:26 +0000 UTCDoctor Who was more of a ’yes or no’ poll, so it's possible for those who don't care about it vote anyway. But if you read the comments it was clear people who did watch Doctor Who were over it. So if future polls were sometimes categorised, a list of maybe 15 shows to choose from in the same category, it would be impossible to mess it up because they either choose one of the 15, or don't vote at all.
Robke
2022-08-19 03:48:30 +0000 UTCEven this list shows your lack of variety though. In the first category- “None Teen Kids Group” I don’t watch anything there. I’ve seen every show on that list, but I wouldn’t watch them more than once really. I think some of those shows just aren’t built for reactions, especially the episodic ones like The Mentalist, Chicago Fire, and that kind of thing. The 100 is great, but for me, goes extremely downhill after a bit, so I just can’t. Where is the action/sci fi/mytery/period dramas? Some great examples of shows include Battlestar Gallactica, Farscape, Being Human, Alias, Upload, Charmed, Dark Angel, Fringe (not my favorite, but has been mentioned a lot), Sons of Anarchy (has 4 great seasons, but does decline imo), Haven, Lost Girl, Beauty and the Beast, Continuum, The Newsroom (good, but political drama, so not sure if people would watch), Revolution, Bates Motel, Humans (UK…you did the first episode), Under the Dome, Witches of East End, Killjoys (a mixed bag really), Queen of the South, Seal Team, Star Trek, Manifest, In the Dark, Superman and Lois, Severance, Bridgerton (not sure if this is for you), a lot of period drama miniseries are great. For comedies: Superstore, The Orville (mixes genres), The Rookie, Weeds (has a good 4-5ish seasons and then does decline), The Mindy Project. I’m sure there are some I’m missing. Anyway, there are a lot of good shows out there. My biggest issue is the kids shows. Even the teen shows aren’t too bad. It’s just nearly every new show added lately has been in the teens/kids category. I can even watch some of them I’m an “elder millennial” and can watch them for nostalgia, mostly 90’-early 2000’s. I don’t mind shows like Dawsons Creek. THAT kind of show is what my generation watched when they were kids/teens. Some I can rewatch and some, like One Tree Hill and Gilmore Girls, I can’t. However, the Disney kids show trend didn’t hit until well after I was aged out of it. Even teen stuff like The Fosters, Switched at Birth, and Pretty Little Liars I don’t really connect with. However, I’m well aware this channel isn’t all about me or my tastes. I can perfectly understand that a lot of people feel nostalgic for some of the Disney content. I wouldn’t even have said so much if it was one or two shows, but it’s been A LOT of shows lately. Pretty much ALL of the content I enjoyed is gone. As I said before, I was here for Battlestar Gallactica, Nikita, Prison Break, and Buffyverse. I also watched The Vampire Diaries until season 4, but I can never rewatch the last half…it just goes downhill imo. I was hoping you’d add a few new shows that might be more adult in theme. I was kind of waiting around for that and just enjoying the movie releases. However, even some of them have been aimed toward a younger audience, like Lemonade Mouth and John Tucker Must Die. I’m usually only watching a few things a month from the patreon (Buffyverse, movies), but I’m paying for the highest tier. Overall, the patreon has shifted in content pretty drastically. If that is the way it’s headed in the future, then this patreon just may not be the right fit for me. I really enjoy watching Steven and Brian’s reactions, but if I don’t enjoy the shows then there isn’t much point. I do want them to do what’s best for them and what THEY want though. If that’s kids shows then that’s perfectly fine. I’d like Steven and Brian to watch what they enjoy. If you want to change it some. My suggestion would be to always replace a show with something similar in the same genre. This would keep a variety of genres active and not let the channel be pulled in one direction or another.

2022-08-19 03:21:44 +0000 UTCI'm really enjoying the variety because I watch such a mixture of everything

2022-08-19 03:19:44 +0000 UTCi like the teen kids and comedy shows the way they are now. no changes
Merissa Childress
2022-08-19 03:14:24 +0000 UTCWell, it does target teens. It was mainly made for GenZ. A lot of millennials, especially elder millennials are giving it the side eye for all the behavior it sort of glorifies. I tried to watch it when it came out. All it did was make me sad for society. All the characters seemed like not great people and I just couldn't. I definitely think it's targeted toward a younger crowd.
Terri
2022-08-19 02:36:26 +0000 UTCOrange is the New Black is pretty good and I enjoy Downton too. I never did finish Orange though. It seemed to go off the rails toward the end. It might have gotten better after a season though. I'd watch reactions just to see.
Terri
2022-08-19 02:27:30 +0000 UTCWe have very similar tastes I think. I feel the same about all the shows you mentioned. I'd also love to seen more scifi here. Farscape is good, star trek. I even enjoy some fantasy thrown in. Being Human is decent as well. A lot of old scifi stuff.
Terri
2022-08-19 02:25:03 +0000 UTCRight?! I'd never even heard of Lemonade Mouth. I had to google it. Then I'd realized I'd aged out of the target audience for that LONG ago. I was already in graduate school when it aired. I couldn't believe it won over classics like Forest Gump. It was pretty much that point that I realized that maybe I didn't belong in this patreon anymore even though I have loved my time here.
Terri
2022-08-19 02:21:48 +0000 UTCAshleep, fellow "elder millennial" here! Yep, that's exactly what it is. It very much feels like a kids show to me. I was already aged out of the target audience for it when it aired. Even the way it's filmed and the running time screams kids show. I think it's perfect, and maybe doesn't feel like such a kids show if you watched it when you were young and it just feels nostalgic instead. I think that makes a big difference.
Terri
2022-08-19 02:18:53 +0000 UTCYes to Alias for sure. He seemed to enjoy the pilot and it's a pretty good series. I think more like that is needed on the channel. I personally haven't seen This is Us, but ANYTHING besides the kids shows is good with me.
Terri
2022-08-19 02:14:58 +0000 UTCYes...we need more sci-fi type stuff or mystery. I LOVED Battlestar and was really bummed when it stopped. Like you said, when Person of Interested ended, and Battlestar, Prison Break, Nikita, and shows like that....there wasn't much left for that type of audience. THAT is my issue. Magus I get your issue with Doctor Who. I very much enjoy the show, but I don't like the current iteration (current Doctor), so I do think a lot of fans even wanted him to just finish out the current series. However, it very well might have been that people just wanted a show replacement. It's hard to tell.
Terri
2022-08-19 02:13:42 +0000 UTCright!!! same with lemonade mouth. i'm still seeing it get dragged even after steven clearly enjoyed it A LOT.

2022-08-19 01:59:49 +0000 UTCI think there’s an assumption in the comments that Steven doesn’t/won’t find the kids shows entertaining or funny, but honestly, I am really enjoying his reactions to those shows sometimes more than his other reactions. For example, from what I can tell, Steven is really enjoying Wizards and he just started victorious and suite life. I don’t watch Brian’s kid show’s reactions since none of those shows personally interest me, but I just want to point out just because you may don’t find the kids’ shows enjoyable, doesn’t mean Steven/Brian aren’t enjoying them!
I Am Not Chamari
2022-08-19 01:51:25 +0000 UTCNot really interested in the kid shows, but there is plenty of other shows that I am watching. My preference would be for shows like the expanse and fringe over them. That being said its not a big deal to me. Watch what you enjoy and the reactions will be better anyway. Polls are great for gaging interest, but sometimes you can tell the reactor isnt that into it.

2022-08-19 00:31:48 +0000 UTCvariety would make the polls one sided like i mentioned before with the doctor who poll. it was intended for who viewers but the majority of the votes were ffrom ppl whove never seen the show or care about it. we do a lot of polls here but the polls arent balanced genre wise also

2022-08-19 00:28:58 +0000 UTCy’all labelling euphoria as kids/teens is so funny to me

2022-08-19 00:19:19 +0000 UTCI hope the feedback is helpful and doesn’t make it more complicated, allot of ideas in here. Variety vs focus, variety Will lead to a diverse audience with different taste, so polls Will reflect that divide. Splittring up the audience in relevant groups might help you to organise relevant chategories in the polls so that each group gets some of what they want in the polls. LIKE one movie poll with only sci-fi, or teen movies in one poll and one poll with movies that have won the big awards and have high ratings on imdb.

2022-08-18 23:45:53 +0000 UTCoh just another suggestion that mirrors one i suggested on another post but another patreon i follow has a $20 tier and you can sponsor a movie of your choosing. like let's say i want you to react to remember the titans (i do!) i would purchase that tier and you'd DM me and ask what movie I pick, and do it. The other patreon I follow has this as a limited slot tier which means only one or two people can purchase that tier a month and it opens up the first of the month. it's first come first serve then you aren't having 300 people all rush to get you to do their movie all at the same time. i think it'd be cool and could give your audience more engagement if they get to purchase a specific they want to see, with a cost that reflects that priveldge of course.

2022-08-18 23:20:44 +0000 UTCI think this first season is the only season i would consider a kids show. The rest of the show is definitely geared towards teens and young adults. I'm sorry but there's no way i would categorize it as just a kids show knowing it follows them to young adulthood when they're in their late teens and 20s
emily ღ

2022-08-18 23:00:15 +0000 UTCThere a lot of good shows you started but only watched a few episodes of then stopped. When looking for a couple of new shows to watch how about putting a few of them in a poll.

2022-08-18 22:39:32 +0000 UTCI'll clarify because I'm someone who said something about all the 'kids' shows originally. For me, I was just taken aback by a particular poll a few months back that had a TON of those teen/tween shows and was to replace a couple of shows not in that genre. I asked at that time if that was a direction the channel was leaning into because for me, it was the first time I saw a poll where I had pretty much no connection to (except BMW). If that was a trend, I wanted to be aware of it because I'd lost several shows that I watched when David left, and I wanted to know what to anticipate from the channel going forward as that might affect my decision to subscribe down the line. And on a personal note, I'm not someone who would want those types of shows from my childhood/teen years reacted to other than as maybe a one-off novelty, so I was surprised to see so much support for them. That's not saying that I object to the channel covering the genre, it was just an honest question about the plans for the channel. I know others spoke up with that same concern, but I think for most of us it wasn't complaining about that genre being reacted to, we were more just confused because previous polls on this and other channels had normally either contained shows similar to those they were replacing or a variety of genres. Of course a few got snarky about it or maybe things intended to by jokey came across as mean spirited in writing, who knows? But I for one don't begrudge variety. If anything, I'd like to see more genres represented down the line in as time allows.
Jojo77
2022-08-18 22:36:05 +0000 UTCI really like that you guys have a lot of variety. I personally don't watch all of the shows, but I'm sure a bunch of people love them so I wouldn't ask you to stop. The kids/teen shows that I do watch hold a great nostalgia factor. And some of them very few people react to, so it's awesome to see you take them on (if you like them!). I would say just keep a balance of kid / adult shows overall, and keep doing you, because the content is great!
Catalina Saturnus
2022-08-18 22:19:21 +0000 UTCI think you have a good variety, but I am mainly interested in the WB-type teen shows from the 90s/00s so maybe I am biased. 🤷♀️ I'm 32 but I wish I was still in that time period. 😂
cruzinbosco
2022-08-18 22:13:01 +0000 UTCLike a lot of people have said I think variety is not an issue and there are a lot of different shows I enjoy but I definitely think you need to try and focus on less shows and finish them quicker. This might help with forgetting what’s going on in the show and might get you more interested so you don’t loose focus. Hope this helps :)
Teeoni Leigh
2022-08-18 22:10:45 +0000 UTCI think you should watch what you like - I’m almost 30 but am watching One Tree Hill and Gossip Girl and was excited to see Victorious, purely for the nostalgia and will continue to do so. I rewatch a lot of shows so I enjoy watching the same things over and over again so I’m a little biased. But it would not be enjoyable to see if you’re watching stuff you don’t vibe with and are just watching because it was suggested.

2022-08-18 21:50:11 +0000 UTCYea theres a lot of people who came here for one thing or another and those things have died down at this point. Honestly Cant blame him for shifting focus if anything I would argue to stop watching more of the stuff thats outside of the scope of what the majority likes. then he could double down on what the majority likes and just have a more focused selection for those who stick around. having already stopped half the shows i watched on here either due to completing the watch through or just quitting them out of low popularity. Doctor who for example is a major show for a lot of channels that pushed a lot of growth. I imagine most of the Who audience is gone now. And to be fair the new direction of the show has kinda just got a lot of the fans fed up anyways so the train is running out of steam as a whole.
Magus
2022-08-18 21:33:22 +0000 UTCBoy Meets World is definitely a kids show, it's just a kid's show of a different time than the more recent ones added, which is what seems to be making many people concerned, but in reality it's just because we were already above the target age bracket when they aired (speaking for the elder millennial cohort).
Ashleep
2022-08-18 21:32:32 +0000 UTCI mean lets be real though. your supernatural section has 5 shows which are all pretty much vampire shows. so supernatural itself is a little more broad than that but still.... and we dont even have the comedy in the mix since they arent doing "what we do in the shadows" which is the only vampire show i dont find totally stupid... i hate vampires and zombies. just on a conceptual level. so done to death. i enjoyed buffy as a teen and it was a show about a hot kick ass teen girl so yea obviously i was going to like it. but now? meh. I dont remember if it was good but forever knight was a more interesting vampire show to me than most of this list. Though in anime form Hellsing is great but he gave up anime a long time ago

2022-08-18 21:29:22 +0000 UTCTrue but after watching his reactions to the first 2 episodes, I'm surprised at how much he enjoyed them. I was scared he'd be put off by Cat seeing as how she's nuts but he found her funny. There are some solid characters and friendships to balance out the corny, I think, so as long as he continues to not hate it, I'm thrilled we have that here

2022-08-18 21:24:29 +0000 UTCThat's interesting; I think the opposite--that the episodic/teen shows are easier to break up and watch here and there, while the shows that are more the adult or geekier shows that are better for binging! Another argument for "can't please everyone" ;P.
Ashleep
2022-08-18 21:22:20 +0000 UTCWhile I wouldn't want him to watch it if he doesn't enjoy it, your mention of the Expanse did make me wistful for what could have been! Also for Battlestar Galactica! It took me a few tries to get into both The Expanse and Star Trek: Discovery, but I am REALLY glad I finally did somewhat recently, and do and wish that there were more reactions to those and to sci-fi in general.
Ashleep
2022-08-18 21:16:53 +0000 UTCTrue. I see some negativity regarding some of the kids/teen shows but judging from their reactions, they actually really enjoy these shows and I enjoy the trip down memory lane. If both sides enjoy, then what's the problem? There are shows on here that I don't watch but there's a lot that I do. I suspect it's that way for a lot of subscribers here, so I still think this is the most worthwhile patreon page

2022-08-18 21:15:31 +0000 UTCAfter reading through your comments, it seems the bottom line is that you won't please everyone lmao. So watch what you're into, and don't feel pressured to do new shows you're not feeling. MY only thing with shows like Victorious (Not so much Zach and Cody, and I've never seen the others on the list) is that when Steven watches shows, there are bits that he will call out as corny and he seems put off by those moments. But Victorious is like all of those moments in a show Lmao. It is a never ending sequence of corny. And it very rarely has an overarching story, mostly one-off episodes with an issue to fix each episode, and they fix it in one or two episodes, which is another thing Steven has repeatedly said he doesn't like. (If I remember rightly. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. It's been a while.)

2022-08-18 21:13:12 +0000 UTCWell, maybe he doesn't have ALL the genres covered I guess...personally, whenever the scifi stuff show up, I tend to just ignore cuz I'm not a fan of that. Perhaps he could add more scifi shows for those who are interested in it? I guess the correct thing to say is that as long as they enjoy doing the reactions and they feel it's worth it for the channel depending on the subscribers who enjoy it right back

2022-08-18 21:12:56 +0000 UTCI just hate when people guilt trip creators on this platform bc the creator isn’t reacting to what they want or isn’t uploading every day. You’ll never catch me saying “idk if I’m gonna rejoin if you don’t watch *insert show or genre*” I’m here to enjoy their, not dictate. If I’m not enjoying it I can choose to not rejoin. I’ve done it several times and its never personal and I’m never mad. It’s their channel and they should be able to create freely

2022-08-18 21:10:40 +0000 UTCI watch Euphoria, The 100, Wizards, Victorious, Suite Life, Pretty Little Liars, Switch at Birth, One Tree Hill, Gossip Girl, and Gilmore Girls. So for me if they upload 8/10 of those every week it’s well worth the money. If one day I find that I’m only watching 2 shows of their and logically its not worth the money, then I will reassess. Idk if people know it’s OKAY to leave if you don’t like what they put out. It doesn’t make you a bad person.

2022-08-18 21:07:07 +0000 UTCI never had those experiences in US tv shows either, but the characters themselves (esp. in OTH) have relatable storyarcs or personality traits. Of course there is some degree of liberty taken with the fictional aspects that regular people will never experience, for dramatic effect. But they are fun and easy watches, high on entertainment value which I feel makes for the best reactions.

2022-08-18 21:05:11 +0000 UTC@Steven I think part of the issue here is the way the shows are being categorized. I think you've ended up with two audiences, one which signed up for for "Geeky culture reactions" and one who signed up for general TV nostalgia reactions. Personally I prefer the geeky sides of things. Please see the way I categorized below. I suspect the geek fans would be interested in, "Geek Culture favs", Dramas and Comedy dramas, while the general TV nostalgia reactions are more interested in Sitcoms and Teen dramas. I know I was scratching my head when I saw "Boy meets World" show up and was wondering, how that fell into "Geeked out Nation" I would suggest offering a separate tier for people who want to the Dramas, Comedy/Dramas and Geek Culture Favs, and another tier for the people interesed in the Sitcoms and teen dramas. Personally I'm paying for the $10 tier just to see the full Smallville reactions as soon as they come out, so if you want to offer a lower cost tier just for that I'd be thrilled lol. Dramas: Euphoria House Chicago Fire- Brian Comedy Dramas: Suits White Collar Glee Gilmore Girls Mentalist - Brian Geek Culture favs: - Fantasy - Grimm - Brian - Merlin - Brian - Once Upon A Time - Supernational - Supernatural - Angel - Buffy - The Vampire Diaries - The Originals - Comic book - Smallville - Flash - Agents of Shield - Scifi - The 100 - Geek fav cartoons - Gravity Falls - Brian - Last Air Bender - Brian - Wizards Sitcoms: Family/kids sitcoms - Boy Meets World - Brian - Victorious - Suite Life - Baby Daddy Adult sitcoms: - Modern Family - Brian - New Girl - Brian - That 70s Show - Brian - The Office - Big Bang Theory - Brian - Schitts Creek - The Good Place - Brooklyn Nine Nine - Scrubs Teen drama: - Dawson’s Creek - Brian - Switched at Birth - Brian - Pretty Little Liars - Brian - One Tree Hill

2022-08-18 21:04:41 +0000 UTCnot exactly. wheres the scifi? unless you count the super hero stuff. flash has been the only DC show i really kept up with. smallville was ok but wasnt good enough for me to want to rewatch. everyone voted for him to cancel doctor who which was the last scifi show on his list. i guess it depends on how you define scifi though when i say scifi im talking space and futuristic technology kinda stuff. other than a few recent movies reactions theres none of that here any more. The Expanse is probably of the the best space scifi shows to come out ever not just recently and he quit that one without a reason. he even canceled locke & key despite being actually interested in that because he was big into the comics. And in those cases I found having someone to be able to deep dive into the differences between the show and the books made it more interesting.

2022-08-18 21:04:12 +0000 UTCI agree! Nobody wants someone to suffer through a tv show just to make other people happy. If you’re a fan of someone you should want them to ENJOY what they watch. This is a big part of their life, I want the creators I support to be happy and enjoy the shows they like. Even if that means they don’t want shows I like. I’d rather not be a patreon than pressure them to watch stuff they don’t enjoy. Who wants to watch someone react to their fav show and hate it?!

2022-08-18 21:02:41 +0000 UTCI think the variety you have here is AWESOME. There's something for everyone. It's why you have such a big following. As long as you're both enjoying the shows you're reacting to, then it's cool. Cuz there are lots of people who enjoy one genre and not the other so whatever you're watching, someone is thrilled.

2022-08-18 20:58:21 +0000 UTCFrom what I am seeing. You all are doing a really good job and there is so much variety of shows that you are doing. Just do shows that you know that you will enjoy and ignore the negativity because you guys are doing an excellent job. It’s not wrong to do different kind of shows and I’m pretty sure most of these shows adults should be able to relate to and that it’s not just for teens/kids. They just don’t understand that much and see it how it truly is and just do not want to give it a chance

2022-08-18 20:55:11 +0000 UTCSorry for all the comments, but bottom line- I think you should watch what you enjoy. I do appreciate how dedicated you are to getting feedback but I know that there are always going to be people who aren’t happy with whatever you choose. If there are 8 season of a show and you’re not enjoying season 3 but you see the majority of that shows fan base is saying “please push through this season, nobody liked it. The rest of the season are great” I would say listen to the comments. But if you just don’t like the show from the jump or you haven’t liked it for 3 seasons, don’t watch it anymore. Sure it’s gonna piss some people off but I hate when reactors “hate watch” my favorite shows and just complain the whole time. It doesn’t matter how much I LOVE a show, I know that sometimes it’s just not for you. I’ve experienced a lot of creators suffer through shows just so they don’t get heat from the fans. I’d much rather watch someone having a GREAT experience with 7 shows than them watching 15 shows they just ain’t into. I love Euphoria. It’s one of my favorites bc I’ve lived with addicts in my family and I think it’s a good representation of addiction in some ways but I know you don’t really enjoy it. So I’m cool if you don’t watch. I don’t want anyone to not enjoy their job. Doesn’t matter if I pay that monthly fee, you don’t OWE me anything.

2022-08-18 20:50:47 +0000 UTC100% agree on the content for the amount they put out the value is amazing compared to others. and if youre into the majority of the shows they do its amazing for those type of people. I watch 4 of the 30 or so shows listed here. The other 4 i watched have already been cut from the channel so... Quality over quantity in my case. While the lack of frequency on some other creators has gotten to me the stuff they watch suits me more so i might only get 7 or 8 episodes a week there but i watch all of them at least. though buffy and angel are on the other channels list despite being here too im just watching through them once on the other channel so i can have at least experienced them in their entirety even though they are dragging for me i will give them some credit though it was hard for me to get going on lucifer but in the end it was at least better than buffy has been... though david leaving killed that show. i ended up just finishing it on my own and it had some pretty great stuff coming up that they missed out on

2022-08-18 20:42:50 +0000 UTCY’all are putting out by far the most content of the creators I am a patreon of. I’ve probably been a patreon of 15 creators since first getting patreon in 2018 (I think). Not all at once. But I’m usually always subscribed to 3-5 depending on the prices. So I know how it feels to leave a creator bc they weren’t being diverse in the shows they watch. There have been times where I’ve left a creator bc money was tight that month or bc I lost interest in what they were watching and then came back several months later when they picked up a show I liked. It ebbs and flows. I think you are in my core 3 that I’ve not been able to part ways when my monthly bill is too high. And that’s bc I know every week there are going to be at least 6-9 shows I can watch with y’all. I think y’all are doing a great job. I just wanted to say that just in case y’all need to here it.

2022-08-18 20:21:40 +0000 UTCPersonal opinion I really like Lemonade Mouth and shows he's reacting to like Victorious and Wizards. But it might be better to put them in different polls. Maybe he can make different kind of polls, polls for family shows, crime shows, dramas, sci-fi. Maybe he can do theme months for movies so people feel their getting more variety. LIke one month is family movies, one month is horror movies, one month is musicals, one month is action movies, another month is romantic comedies, dramas, mysteries, different themes for different months.

2022-08-18 20:01:43 +0000 UTCright!!! same with melissa and joey. i used to watch that one but had to stop. i think maybe that's why the teen shows do so well, they have heart without the "vapidness" of these "quick" comedy sitcoms like baby daddy, mel and joey, others that coke to mind are pretty much any abc fam sitcom. if they're looking for some great sitcoms to react to that may bridge the gap in their audience, the middle, reba, and home improvement are excellent. but i absolutely agree!! i think some people are very judgmental about the kids shows. i've seen some downright hateful comments when they poll well and that's so upsetting. like maybe it's not for you but if it's something clearly tons of people are enjoying, then just step back. not every show is for me. if they did a sci-fi or dark show i'm not gonna be screaming in the comments. i think a lot of the pushback here is from a very small but vocal handful of people. for a lot of us, we're just enjoying our shows and having fun. the rude comments that dismiss others' intelligence - one comment that comes to mind even used a very disgusting metaphor - are just unnecessary
emily ღ
2022-08-18 19:55:40 +0000 UTCthere’s a TON of variety and i love it. the people complaining about kid shows honestly just sound whiny tbh. wizards draws in a lot more people than shows like baby daddy did, and yet no one complained that baby daddy was taking up a spot. people are extremely close minded when it comes to kids/teen shows and wont even give them a try, so the market is small there but the audience is HUGE.

2022-08-18 19:28:13 +0000 UTCI personally like the kid/teen shows that you guys have been doing. Since you guys react to alot of darker and mature shows, it refreshing to see more lighthearted stuff.

2022-08-18 19:28:00 +0000 UTCexactly!! i'd be so sad to see my favorites go just because a few people grumbled. the polls speak for themselves as does the likes and comments on the videos and here. LOTS of people enjoy lots of things, i don't think stopping a show because one or two people got upset is the way to go. i think as long as Geeked Out are happy and most of us are happy, then that's great!

2022-08-18 19:09:33 +0000 UTCI would LOVE star trek show, or fringe too! Star trek is a long comitment, but Maby start with a season?
Mariella Nilsson🍉
2022-08-18 19:09:01 +0000 UTCI think another factor for you could be to keep in mind what you're actually enjoying yourselves. If you are having fun with the Disney channel and the like, then maybe it's good that you're finding they have an audience. If you are bored or annoyed with those shows, maybe consider doing fewer of those and more of the things that you really enjoy to see if you can attract an audience for that stuff. Fans do run in packs, and it seems that the Disney and teen crowd have found you. If that's what you want and is working for your brand, then you're on track. And you might want to consider things that might appeal to that audience in other ways. Of course everyone is different, but overall I think that your audience is skewing young and female. This could mean that you may be able to tempt them with strong female leads, character driven stories, and the like. For instance, I would consider things like Big Little Lies, Dead To Me, Russian Doll, Downton Abbey, Fleabag, Orange is the New Black, etc. as things that might appeal to your base outside of what they showed up for (teen/Disney stuff). I'm sure others would disagree, but as someone who is a slightly older (late gen X) female who has consumed a lot of media, I think those are the kind of things I would end up recommending for this fan base if they're in the mood to mix it up a bit.

2022-08-18 19:06:02 +0000 UTCI agree with you and I don’t understand it either, maby those movies should not stand against eachother in the polls. But if allot of people like that, what can you do! I have still gotten so many shows and movies I can watch, so I can’t complain!

2022-08-18 18:58:17 +0000 UTCPerhaps some new tiers. Though I know theres no way to go mass update old content on here since patreon wasnt really meant to be used in the way we but the $1 tiers seem pointless now. You know the numbers so how many people are actually signed up for just those specific show tiers? Like you could have a tier for the more teen/girly oriented shows for example. Some of the comedies I was attempting to watch through again but im not gonna lie. Having David start them then leave the channel and Brian restarting them so relatively soon after having already started a rewatch with David kinda killed a few of the comedies for me. Im suffering through angel and buffy on another channel just so i can say i have experienced them. They have had some ok moments but overall its a pretty rough watch. kinda feel like angel is one of the worst spin offs ive seen despite it having some good moments and characters its just meh for me. but i kinda hate vampires, zombies, supernatural style nonsense like that. Though angel tried to be a bit more adult than buffy which really dragged out that teen drama bs a good place is another example. i finished davids watch through. not a show i would rewatch
Magus
2022-08-18 18:52:35 +0000 UTCNo the issue is that there is no schedule for viewership. I think having variety is great because it gives everyone something. If people do not like the Disney shows they don’t have to watch them, they can just scroll to the ones they like. But having one show posted one week then we don’t see for a few weeks but then new shows randomly pop up before we the others can get a tad tedious! Please setup a schedule where certain shows come out on certain days. A lot of other reactors have it setup that way so it makes it easier for people to turn into what they want to see. Shows of similar style can air one day Supernatural Buffy Angel & ect. Gilmore Girls,Gossip Girl& glee on one day PLL switched at birth & ect one day *** Would Brain consider watching My So called life? ***

2022-08-18 18:28:26 +0000 UTCPersonally I kinda fit some of the super hero stuff in with teen content. While I do enjoy the flash if were being honest super hero stuff outside of the boys is targeted for a younger audience. Smallville for sure is themed around highshoolers. The 100 is teenager focused too thematically anyway. I enjoyed the series for a bit but it got repetitive so i gave up. Since Merlin is based on young merlin and arthur and with how goofy the show can beits definitly note aimed at a more mature audience. For me personally a lot of the list for adult shows is just stuff im not interested in or stuff i watched but dont want to rewatch. like suits? white collar? i enjoyed those but never one i even remotely considered watching reactions to. Chicago fire? doesnt sound interesting i imagine it would be similar to "rescue me" which was ok but got dull I tried Grimm but no real interested in the monster of the week kinda thing. I somehow managed to get through all of super natural when it aired and while it did have some great episodes and moments it went on WAYYY too long and I kinda just view Grimm as just being a rip off so you basically got 2 very similar themed shows there. I am just bigger into scifi so like Stargate, star trek, the expanse, farscape, fringe, sliders, the invisible man (scifi channel show no one has ever reacted to). not huge into the starwars animated stuff but rebels seems ok so far. easier to watch than clone wars anyway. i guess its all personal preference like you guys are watching a lot of good shows with big followings obviously but the list of ones ive watched are like things i would recommend to people but not something i would personally rewatch 10x times like ive done with doctor who for example.

2022-08-18 18:23:26 +0000 UTCSuggestion: I and many others are here for boy meets world. It combines the nostalgia with some really great and deep life lessons. Maybe instead of Zack and Cody and Victorious check out Degrassi The Next Gen. It combines the teen elements like boy meets world with the serious and in depth, important things as well. I'm not a big fan of the goofy humor of Nick shows and cringe at what went down behind the scenes of them. Disney isn't much better. I mean I enjoy the nostalgia but I think teen shows with more depth would do very well. I also think BMW and degrassi are perfect blend because unlike euphoria and gossip girl or PLL it's real and relatable and I think if you want a teen show that maybe lean towards these instead of Victorious and Zack and Cosy

2022-08-18 18:20:51 +0000 UTCI just love it so much! I’m too young to have watched it when it first aired (2002 baby) but when GMW was airing I got into BMW and just fell in love with it. I’ve been wanting people to react to it for so long and they just don’t. There are a lot of shows on this list that I absolutely adore, but so many people react to them that I’m just no longer interested in reactions to them. But BMW has no reactions to it and I love seeing it! 💖
DazzleFae
2022-08-18 18:18:29 +0000 UTCSome advice for the flash would be to wrap it up after this season. Viewership will decrease greatly, and the story will as well. Not saying you should stop watching, but if you are looking for the best results on your reactions, then I would probably put the brakes on at the start of season 4.

2022-08-18 18:10:55 +0000 UTCI agree on alias. Would love this returning. It was a one off pilot viewing here years back. It’s such a good action/spy show. Definitely fills a void that’s not really filled at the moment. Feels almost movie like.

2022-08-18 18:08:43 +0000 UTChe seemed to really enjoy BSG but it seems like if its scifi it wont make it on here. Like all the people who love the teen shows hopped on the kill Doctor Who train whent he poll came up. Like I seriously wanna know how many of those votes are from people who actually watch the show since the majority of his viewers arent here for scifi just sad that a show gets canned because some people who have an overwhelming amount of shows being posted want to free up a slot for another one of their shows to fill instead of just accepting ok this one show i dont like i can just skip over it and let it be Fringe is amazing but with how squeamish he is I dunno how well it would go over. then again its not really worse than something like the boys i guess

2022-08-18 18:06:48 +0000 UTCI’ll be completely Frank, the Disney shows make me unsure if I’ll subscribe again, they’re Disney shows for god sake! Even in the polls freaking “lemonade mouth” won over some actually amazing movies this month, I’m never gonna be over that. The issue is that you have a lot of Disney fans who will always dominate every poll, so if you keep putting anything Disney against anything else, Disney will win!
Yorozuya
2022-08-18 18:06:09 +0000 UTCYou seem to have a good variety. Although I don't watch the ones you characterize as Teen or Kids, I had assumed that those reflected the taste of your viewership. I myself watch only a small share of what you post, but I figure that's inevitable, and I'm happy with what I get for what I pay. I watch Schitt's Creek and Brooklyn 99 especially, plus Modern Family and The Good Place (even though it's a second start on this channel for both). I like Buffy and Angel too, but seldom find time to watch the reactions as they're hourlong and there is only so much time in a week (but that's not your fault). I myself wish more reactors would do Leverage, but it never seems to win any polls so I can't complain.
DelGuy03
2022-08-18 18:04:20 +0000 UTCMaybe so but I didnt have the typical teen experience so i find most of them to be unrelatable altogether. this show is like 90% weighted toward teen content. And i also feel people are a bit biased toward the shows as they watched them when they were age appropriate to them so the shows have a special place in their hearts and going back to watch them just brings back fond memories. I guess i am also biased just in the opposite direction since they all seems so unrealistic and fake to me. Like i find a lot of highschool dramas faker than science fiction. though with scifi you are expecting stuff to be a little out there and unrelatable to todays world so it clicks more with me than stuff thats supposed to represent the average teenager experiences i never had
Magus
2022-08-18 18:04:04 +0000 UTCDon't really know why boy meets world is listed as kids instead of teens when it spans all the way into their college years when they're in their mid to late 20s....i would hate to see that one be cut in the midst of people saying they don't watch the kids shows. to me the early seasons are for pre teens, mid season teens, and you follow them into adulthood. not really the same level as some of the other kids shows in that kids category
emily ღ
2022-08-18 18:02:10 +0000 UTCI think you doing a great job with the variety of shows you have. I think it doesn't matter people are going to complain no matter what but if the show has the views then don't worry about it. Every show isn't going to please everyone. I think it would be more disappointing if you stop shows because there are people complaining about it let the views and polls speak for themselves and keep up the great work.
Jtozee
2022-08-18 18:01:50 +0000 UTCYeah, I'm generally only watching shows from the bottom category. 90's 00's nostalgia. I don't watch the shows from the kids category or the first category really. There are a couple more 'adult' shoes like Alias and This is Us that I would like you to react to, other than that nostalgia tends to be the main draw. Movies are also fun once a week so it feels like we have something fresh that only lasts 1-3 uploads before moving onto the next.
C J
2022-08-18 18:01:06 +0000 UTCsame here. i'm 30 and i love the nostalgia, not a big fan of the darker shows. i don't watch any of the ones in the first category either
emily ღ
2022-08-18 17:59:11 +0000 UTCYea, I think adding fringe would be a good thing, a show like this is missing. It has also won at least 1 poll in the past. I would probably rewatch this myself.
Mitochondria
2022-08-18 17:55:43 +0000 UTCOverall you do have a good variety, certainly more than most reactors. However, personally I feel a scifi show is sorely lacking after Person of Interest ended and you also stopped doing Battlestar and Expanse. Something like Fringe would have been a fantastic Person of Interest replacement as it's a similar length and similar level of quality. Or just resuming one of the others that you stopped would be nice as well.
Mike Watkins
2022-08-18 17:51:56 +0000 UTCThe "Teen shows" in general have more mature themes, so it's easier to relate to them and enjoy them as a mature audience. But I do think the Kids shows are much too corny for well-rounded enjoyment for you and us. The time spent of "kids" shows could be better spent toward doubling weekly episodes of one of the other shows, or even adding a new show of a better calibre, with time to spare to yourselves. The comedy stuff, House (for me out of that list), the "Teen shows", and the movies are golden. But the 20-something minute kids shows feel like time wasters for you guys more than us. That being said, if there IS an audience for them, and it draws you more patrons so you can continue to fund your reactions full time, then I say leave them! I would much rather ignore them than risk you guys losing patrons. Oh, and please remember, you can't please everyone. As much as I appreciate you guys checking in with us on our enjoyment, don't feel pressured to change every little thing to try and sate every single patron. It won't work, and you'll run yourselves ragged trying...

2022-08-18 17:47:16 +0000 UTCI like the variety of shows you guys do currently. Your polls have all kinds of shows and you always stick true to whatever wins the poll is what gets added. That is the best and most fair way to do it.

2022-08-18 17:45:46 +0000 UTCI enjoy all the shows you do, but I lean more to the comedy, teen and kids portion. And its because I enjoy romantic drama and having a time to just enjoy a good laugh with you guys. I have no problem with the shows you've added, specially because I was only watching two shows when I joined but now I watched a variety of 7-8 shows

2022-08-18 17:44:33 +0000 UTCI personally like comedy stuff. Watching you guys laugh and react to funny sceanes Ive already watched. I love The Big Bang Theory and Brians reaction for example :D I also think that most of your "Kids" shows can be very well enjoyed by anyone of any age :D

2022-08-18 17:37:50 +0000 UTCIn my opinion I think the teen shows are good, but the 7 kids show aren't necessary at all. Due to the fat that you are not kids yourselves, most of the jokes don't hit you the same way it does children, and the storylines are very predictable. Therefore I would swap at least some of the 7 shows with comedy/mystery shows that are close to winning the poles everytime. Popular shows such as Jane The Virgen, The Black List, SuperStore and so on. (These would reach a large age group)

2022-08-18 17:33:02 +0000 UTCI used to watch Dexter and Prison Break too. I'm unsure what was the replacement for those shows, but if it ends up being something like Victorious or Wizards, I think you can see my point now.

2022-08-18 17:30:09 +0000 UTCI don't think there are any issues with variety of shows, I'm just not interested in most of those shows. But that's fine by me I don't expect to watch every show you guys react to. Presently I've been watching: Buffy, Angel, Supernatural, The Good Place, Schitt's Creek, Umbrella Academy, and The Boys so I feel like I'm getting my money's worth. As far as 'kid shows' I can't say I'm interested in anything from the Disney/Nickelodeon/TGIF kinda space. Personally while I enjoyed those shows when I was younger I don't find them be good reaction material for adults and I was surprised they did so well in polls. But they did do well in polls so I get why they're here. As far as sitcoms, I came here via Buffy and was surprised I wound up watching The Good Place and Schitt's Creek reactions but I'm glad I did. I really look forward to them now. And if anything when you reach the end of those I think it might be fun to see you guys tackle some classic sitcoms (like 60s and 70s classic). As a whole I also want to note that sometimes what I watch has less to do with the reaction video and more to do with the series itself. For Instance there are certain seasons of Supernatural I feel are stronger than others so several of those I simply skipped all together and there's nothing you coulda done about that.

2022-08-18 17:29:24 +0000 UTCI like the current variety, I guess being mindful how to replace shows once you finished them is a good idea though - like if you finish Gilmore Girls replace it with something with a similar tone like Charmed or Brothers & Sisters. For me personally, it truly depends on the show. I would be on board though if in the future it's more "adult" shows.

2022-08-18 17:29:02 +0000 UTCI think if a more adult friendly type of show gets finished or discontinued, the poll for replacement should contain shows that are similar type or interest the audience who watched previous show. Otherwise the teen/Disney stuff is always going to dominate as this is the majority of viewers, and there will be nothing left for the other crowd. At the moment I'm watching House and The Vampire Diaries, both of them will end in a couple of seasons, so when new poll is made to replace them, if it's something from Nickelodeon is added to the poll and wins, it's unlikely to be of interest to those who watched the previous shows. TVD while technically a teen show, I think most can agree that it's quite fun for adults too. I think from time to time it's good to make a big poll with all shows you have in mind to see which ones peak the most interest in general. But when it's time to replace a certain show, hopefully the poll for it is a bit more specific. All viewers here will never have a unanimous opinion, everyone is different and you can't please them all.

2022-08-18 17:23:56 +0000 UTCI only watch from 2 categories and I'm not personally interested in so many shows that are pretty similar to each other like the teen category. Just a thought but have you ever considered sticking to one category and finishing shows up quicker, and then moving onto another category. Especially for some of the more episodic teen shows, its better watched as more of a binge than a week to week in my opinion.

2022-08-18 17:20:48 +0000 UTCI would like to see more in the first and last categories. I like the teen shows you’re doing but don’t like the kids shows. For comedies, I only like one, The Good Place. Oh and more shows from Steven. Some of the ones Brian’s now doing (like Pretty Little Liars), I want to see Steven react to.

2022-08-18 17:19:52 +0000 UTCPersonally, I watch mostly the comedies and a few of the teen shows. It may be that you have found a bit of a niche in your audience which isn't necessarily a bad thing. For me, I'd love to see more prestige dramas and international things, but that may not be where you're getting traction overall. If you are looking to add a larger genre variety, I'd advise doing so slowly. Decide in advance ideally how many slots you'd like to have for each genre and decide within each genre how many slots you'd like to have for shorter or longer run shows and then filling those slots as you finish other shows. So, if you were doing comedies, keep a few slots for long running network shows, but maybe keep a slot or two for shorter things like Netflix or UK shows so that you can get through more of them faster and also keep up some of your longer running tent pole series. You could do that within each category which then would make it easier to keep things organized and on a schedule. I know a few of the larger reaction groups definitely will poll within genres to keep their offerings balanced.

2022-08-18 17:19:02 +0000 UTCI get why you've veered towards Disney, Nickolodeon, etc. No one craves nostalgia more than millennials these days so it's a ton of money in y'alls bank acct. Potentially. But as someone who wasn't a teen girl in the 2000s, other than 1 or 2 shows... I really don't watch much on here anymore. Oh and you have almost like, no dramas or thrillers here that don't have a sci fci element to it.

2022-08-18 17:17:06 +0000 UTCVariety is fine but there are shows that are incomplete from months ago. It’s hard to follow or consistently subscribe when things disappear.

2022-08-18 17:15:50 +0000 UTCI’m in the same boat. There are about 20 shows on the list I have no interest in. I watch a lot of the teen shows for nostalgia. Just hoping some new shows in the future are something I will like.
Jonathan
2022-08-18 17:15:28 +0000 UTCGood variety, I watch about 2-3 shows per category. I honestly don't know how you do so many shows but I like that there is something for everyone.

2022-08-18 17:09:10 +0000 UTCWell I’m 41 myself. I like a few shows in the first section but kinda the shows I’d only watch once through and I’ve already seen them. I do check out some Smallville eps here and there. In kids I’d check out boy meets world for nostalgia basically. And I guess I’m more into the teen shows at bottom. Dawson, little liars. Glee eps here and there. Maybe at some point I’ll watch switched at birth as I stopped that show way back in season one when originally aired. But there’s plenty of variety in the categories. That’s not a issue I think

2022-08-18 17:08:39 +0000 UTCI think you have a great variety in television shows tbh and seem to keep up well with a lot of the new-ish series as well as some classics and nostalgia faves. However, on the movie front, it seems like nostalgia faves including rom coms and teen movies dominate. I’m personally fine with that, as I have seen most of those films, and not much of the other comedy/sci-fi stuff you post, but maybe there is more opportunity to do newer films? Things that are available on VOD or just came out in the past 2-3 years? That’s all I can think of.

2022-08-18 17:08:22 +0000 UTCMaybe try to hold off on starting certain shows, until other ones end, so that you always have the same amount of shows going. Unless it's like a Mini-Series or a New Show that everyone likes.

2022-08-18 17:07:20 +0000 UTCI love that you have so much variety. I personally like that you have added teen and kid shows. I don't think anyone reacts to these and they're definitely shows I am gonna be excited for every week. Especially the new shows like pretty little liars, suite life, wizards and big time rush. They are just pure nostalgia.

2022-08-18 17:06:49 +0000 UTCI think there’s a good variety. I personally have just not seen the majority of all of these shows, so I don’t watch the reactions. I just counted and I’ve only seen 7! Holy crap! Just waiting on new stuff, but waiting patiently. Lol

2022-08-18 17:06:28 +0000 UTCYes. I agree with this
Mariah Libby
2022-08-18 17:04:09 +0000 UTCI barely watch any of the shows in the first category so I think there is a lot of variety here
Asaunte
2022-08-18 17:03:47 +0000 UTCI'm actually not watching any of the shows in the first category. Guess at 28 years old, I like the teen and kid shows, maybe for nostalgia reasons

2022-08-18 17:01:56 +0000 UTCI think it’s mainly because you seem to get in a groove of a certain type. There were a bunch of kids shows released at once and a bunch of sitcoms which if someone is looking at that it seems like a “direction” as long as you keep variety in what replaces the shows you are about to complete you should be fine.
Jonathan
2022-08-18 17:00:45 +0000 UTCi think the quantity is the issue, feels like there’s so many shows that brian can barely remember the names of characters (understandable) but the only variety i want more of is more movies, and it seems like 80% of the movies you do are rom coms i’d like to see more variety there :)
