What Do You Want From Brian?
Added 2022-08-19 17:33:21 +0000 UTCIf Brian Were To Stop Doing His Procedural shows what shows would you want?
It seems like people like that Brian does shows like The Fosters, Switched at Birth, Dawson’s Creek and now Pretty Little Liars. You all seem to really enjoy his comedies as well.
It seems like the procedurals are the thing that people are having problems with. A lot of you seem to not be as into shows like The Mentalist and Chicago Fire. Even Merlin and Grimm have had very low views.
I’m not really sure what you all seem to want Brian to watch that is not in the “Teen/kids” category.
When David left we have tried to adjust to make sure we tried to fill that void but David had some serious shows that when he left we never found the right show to satisfy.
Shows like Breaking Bad, The Walking Dad, Daredevil, How to get away with Murder and even Teen Wolf.
So we want to bring back some darker shows but it becomes an issue when votes never seem to go towards them.
So below please let me know what shows you want from Brian if some of these shows above are replaced after the seasons he is on are finished.
Would you like Brian to watch more serious shows? Do you like Brian doing more light hearted stuff.
Examples of serious shows would be like the ones David has watched as well as some of these below
Sons of Anarchy
The Expanse
Alias
Breaking Bad
Daredevil
WestWorld
True Blood
The Witcher
Reacher
He jumps back into Heroes
He Jumps back into Veronica Mars
You all help run and keep the Patreon going and if you don’t like something we like hearing it but we would also like to hear possible solutions.
Thanks for Everything

Late to respond because I just rejoined to catch pilot reactions of 9-1-1 and How to Get Away With Murder. I’d really, really like reactions to continue for those! Seems like I might be in the minority as I think there are too many young teen show reactions right now. I had left for a couple months because the only reaction I was watching was Modern Family and then an ep of Abbott’s Elementary here and there. The Disney-like shows aren’t what I’m here for. I’d watch reactions to any of these shows: 9-1-1, How to Get Away with Murder, Grey’s Anatomy, Lucifer, Lost, Shameless, Handmaid’s Tale, Stranger Things, You, Unreal

2023-09-06 06:16:35 +0000 UTCI love Grimm, Merlin, Chicago fire, definitely love his modern family reactions and baby daddy. I also agree that patreon exclusive shows is a good idea if you guys keep having troubles with yt, just my thoughts :)

2022-08-21 10:37:56 +0000 UTCI would be psyched if he picked Veronica mars back up, but otherwise I don't really know. I used to have a bunch of both of your shows in rotation, but now mainly watch new girl, schitts creek, only murders in the building, and the movies. caught up on all the others I wanted to watch and the rest of the lineup just isn't my thing at the minute. I'd want to recommend really random and different shows for both of you like Atlanta, The Bear, Search Party, the other two, Never Have I ever, The rehearsal, Skam, starstruck, Barry, What We Do in the Shadows, Abbott Elementary, A League of their own (new amazon show based on the movie), Reservation Dogs, Happy Endings, Dollface, and a million more if I'm being honest haha

2022-08-20 12:05:31 +0000 UTCI really want Brian to continue with Merlin. I know there are issues for YT but couldn't it be a Patreon exclusive show? Some reactors do have that...

2022-08-20 05:59:11 +0000 UTCHonestly, I'd want it the other way around. Stop doing shows like the Fosters, Baby Daddy, Switched at Birth - basically anything teen drama etc, and do more procedural shows. Or, as I said in the last post, more older adult comedies. Or maybe Shameless, Leverage, The Librarians etc. Maybe venture into some UK comedy, or drama, or even detective shows - they can be fun and a little ridiculous sometimes (the UK/Euro ones that is. I did say this much better on the last post, but I know you can't get rid of everything as you want to appeal to a greater audience, I just wish for a little less of the teen drama.
Ritchie Osborne
2022-08-20 05:55:24 +0000 UTCI hope he continues Grimm. He seems to be enjoying it and I'm not sure how many others reactors do that show. If he were going to pick up a new one, I would like Alias.

2022-08-19 22:33:29 +0000 UTCI would love reactions for Sons of Anarchy, Mayans (after SoA), Scandal, Madam Secretary, Breaking Bad, maybe Better Call Saul (after). But I like that there is such a mix of shows on here. I’d even like for you guys to do shorter teen shows from Netflix like Never Have I Ever, Ginny and Georgia, Young Royals, Shadow and Bone…things like that
Amanda B
2022-08-19 22:28:19 +0000 UTCBack to my previous two mentions, I think Alias is better for Steven and This Is Us would suit Brian (or a duo reaction) .

2022-08-19 21:49:38 +0000 UTCOh...wanted to add "Travelers." I'm pretty sure it's on Netflix. It is 3 seasons and absolutely excellent. One of the best shows I've ever seen. I think Brian would enjoy it though I'm not sure. Maybe watch a trailer? I KNOW that Steven would like it. It's shorter seasons too.
Terri
2022-08-19 21:47:01 +0000 UTCI would love How to Get Away With Murder!!! I'd prefer that from Steven for cast reasons... but hey, if Brian wants it, sounds great! I think Brian would be great for Nashville; I definitely think he would LOVE it. Kind of like a more adult version of the soapy teen shows he is already watching. Not sure there is enough of an audience for it through? Hope I am wrong because it was a great series and so, so twisty. It's so great for reactions.

2022-08-19 21:04:50 +0000 UTCSo some shows off the top of my head I specifically think Brian would like: - Battlestar Galactica- he really enjoyed Star Trek and space stuff. Steven you know this has a lot of nice space battles and a fast paced story. If you don't want to finish it...maybe Brian would enjoy it. - Farscape - Upload- a funny comedy on Amazon with two short seasons. - Fringe- a lot of people have mentioned this. It's sort of procedural at times and sci-fi. It might be a good fit. - Haven- I think Brain would enjoy this. It's a mystery sci-fi show. - Dark Angel- I'm not sure if you can find the episodes, but it's good. - Beauty and the Beast- procedural-ish sci-fi show. - Revolution- post-apocolytic shows that has two interesting seasons - Under the Dome- show based on Stephen King novel where an entire town is trapped under a dome. It's sci-fi - Queen of the South- now this is definitely in the adult category. Follows a girl who goes from captured by a drug cartel to running a drug cartel. I actually think Steven would like this, but I know he has a lot of shows. - Seal Team- obviously about Seal Teams, but better than your average military show. - Manifest- a sci-fi show - In the Dark- A dark comedy/mystery series - Superman and Lois- lighthearted family fun in a superhero show - Continuum- decent sci-fi procedural about a woman from the future coming to the past. Steven if you ever get the chance I think these shows would suit you: - Alias - Bates Motel- maybe for Brain too. I'm not sure how he'd feel about it. - Humans (UK) - Severance - The Newsroom- pretty good, but not sure if there would be an audience for it. - Being Human (US version)- the UK is great for the first couple of seasons, but goes down hill. The US version maintained its quality. (maybe a replacement for The Vampire Diaries? It's about a ghost, vampire, and werewolf living together). For me, it was never the adult shows that were the problem. It's that you're doing about 7 kids shows all added recently. I get that those do well, but they do well because the channel has pushed that content. Coupled with David leaving and a lot of the adult audience disappearing, it's clearly slanted the patreon polls/views towards a younger audience. It's sort of a chicken and egg issue though in my opinion. If you drive the patreon toward a specific audience, then obviously, views for those specific shows will be the highest.
Terri
2022-08-19 21:01:21 +0000 UTCThis is it. It's a vicious cycle. I think Euphoria brought in a much younger crowd than was here previously and it just kind of took over the channel. So now, the kids shows get the most views and most of the people that like adult shows have left. It's hard to correct the channel now. This is why keeping to replacement shows that are similar to another is important. It keeps the audience balanced. I also agree about SoA. I think it could bring in a certain type. At this point though, at least maybe it would be more balanced towards adult shows. Idk.
Terri
2022-08-19 20:58:52 +0000 UTCI love all three of those shows. Steven tried The Handmaid's Tale. The first maybe 5ish episodes are on here. He stopped because some of the scenes was too much for him. I'd love him to do Alias or Outlander, but I'm not sure they are suited to Brian. Alias maybe.
Terri
2022-08-19 20:55:54 +0000 UTCI 100% agree with you about how to get away with murder! I would love to see Brian's reactions to that show! There is a void since David left and didn't finish it!

Rida
2022-08-19 20:23:52 +0000 UTCI think one of the issues is when David left there were probably a good amount of people here just for his shows so they left to so that would skew the votes on the polls as the people who were interested are no longer around. The issue with the polls is how many unique voters are voting. unique meaning a poll might get 600 votes but thats not 600 ppl since 1 person can vote on 10+ shows however big the poll is. But basically the polls would represent the current audience vs the audience that was there before. Like I first found you guys from David doing back to the future and I wanted to see the full reactions then I was like oh hey they have Doctor who cool. Brians finished most of the shows I was interested in watching reactions to. I decided to give rebels a chance and its more tolerable than clone wars to me anyway but not a show i would sub for for example. but everyone has their few shows they like. I think another issue is just due to the nature of the channel you are different people, youre reactions are going to be different but I think the flash is the only show that had a somewhat smooth transition since you had only seen upto where he got to at that point. the other shows like modern family i was rewatching. friends i had never seen the full run so was going to give that a go but once we found out he was leaving i just dropped the show from my watch list

With that said: I never thought I could enjoy re-watching Dawson's Creek at ALL (too much personal cringe sense memory), but I am glad I tried, because I've been loving Brian's takes on it, so who knows! Since the kids/teen shows are what bring in the views and engagement, I'll honestly just be grateful if we continue getting the variety we have now :).

2022-08-19 18:18:13 +0000 UTCAs a personal pick, I'd love for Brian to watch The Defenders saga in order now that it's on Disney+ if he hasn't already? I figured not since Daredevil is on the list. And it's underrated af.

2022-08-19 18:15:01 +0000 UTCYeah it makes sense, but I suppose I am more talking about the shows where 3 season is already pretty much the halfway point of the series. Grimm and The Mentalist are pretty good examples of this (especially Grimm as it only has 6 seasons). It just sucks to see someone get this far into Grimm for instance and then potentially not finish the series. Obviously you haven't made any final decisions on anything yet, but the idea of possibly losing it kind of sucks.

2022-08-19 18:10:09 +0000 UTCWell, they're never going to win votes wise, its just impossible. Your main demo outnumber the rest but purposely not including entire darker genres limits the potential of a new audience coming in to begin with. So in short, you kind of have to include them and hope it doesn't turn your main demo off. Which, honestly not sure why it would... the CW/WB, Teen/Kid and 90s nostalgia show crowd get plenty to watch so unsubbing would just be petty. This would be more just evening put the playing field and expanding your potential audience. But be forewarned, including shows like SoA potentially opens you up to a toxic audience.
ConsciousChronicle143
2022-08-19 18:09:23 +0000 UTCAlias would be good. So would Outlander maybe and The Handmaid's Tale. I'd love to see one of you do Revenge. I liked Castle as far as the procedurals went.

2022-08-19 18:07:45 +0000 UTCBrian starting Chuck might not be a bad idea too. Popular show and people like it lol. Thanks
Jonathan Giles
2022-08-19 18:06:58 +0000 UTCWhich makes sense since when a serious has 8 to 10 seasons at the halfway point most series lose steam
Steven Merced
2022-08-19 18:06:42 +0000 UTCThinking of things that Brian might particularly enjoy, I would think of The Inbetweeners, Silicon Valley, Black Mirror, True Detective, of course Broadchurch, because everybody who watches that loves it (although that would ideally be a Steven reaction at some point). And of course I always say I want to see Brian try Downton Abbey. It's so not in his wheelhouse but I think if he got hooked it would be my new favorite reaction. Or maybe he could try the Neil Gaiman shows, Good Omens before the second season since Steven never finished it, or Sandman to bridge the gap between comics and fantasy. And one of you at least should have the pure joy that is What We do in the Shadows.
Jojo77
2022-08-19 18:06:18 +0000 UTCYea but the decisions are made usually when the views are way down. We keep the shows going even when the viewership drops it’s why we get very low views that we consider dropping the shows. First seasons of shows always have high views. It’s later on when we notice way less are watching
Steven Merced
2022-08-19 18:05:58 +0000 UTCI love his Mentalist reactions and he seems to enjoy it too. So I hope this wouldn't fall away
ModernToad
2022-08-19 18:05:33 +0000 UTCOooh, True Blood or The Witcher. Would love for Steven to also react to True Blood when it's time to replace a show, maybe TVD as they're both vampire themed. To be honest I've never seen any reactions from Brian yet, so if he ever does one of those, would be nice to get to see him. Never seen a reactor do True Blood yet. As for votes not going to the darker shows, well me and others already mentioned trying more specific polls for a replacement. Those who enjoyed Davids reactions and feel the void, I mean even if all same shows were added back it wouldn't feel the same since they were probably into his type of commentary. If they become attached to a person, nothing will replace it. Thanks again for communicating guys.

2022-08-19 18:03:38 +0000 UTCI would also just want to point out that if you are going to stop reacting to shows, maybe make that decision after only 1 season or so. Doesn't seem like being in the habit of making it through as many as 3 or 4 seasons of a show and then pulling the plug makes a whole lot of sense.
Jeremiah
2022-08-19 18:01:59 +0000 UTCYea this is what I’m saying, I’m saying that people want more of a mix but we can’t stop the Teen/Kid shows because those get the most views

2022-08-19 17:56:27 +0000 UTCI hope Grimm stays. Other serious shows that I would definitely watch are Sherlock, Broadchurch, travelers and especially This is us. And if you're looking for a completely different show the UK version of taskmaster is absolutely brilliant.

2022-08-19 17:43:21 +0000 UTCBrian has talked about getting back into One Tree Hill. The issue is that he does not have as much time which was why he walked away from it to do shows alone. I’m able to record at random times of the day and Brian is not. So it made scheduling things together harder
Steven Merced
2022-08-19 17:42:14 +0000 UTCI think Veronica Mars, Teen Wolf, and HTGAWM are good transition shows like they're dark but not too dark and have a bit of comedy to them (v mars and teen wolf specifically).

2022-08-19 17:41:21 +0000 UTCI like the shows Brian does as they are. I do like the Mentalist but I could see how that isn't a big draw. I think he would like Alias, I also would love it if he went back to Heroes and Veronica Mars. Maybe less focus on new content? I think everyone is perhaps so upset with the new teen content is that there is no lead up to you deciding to do these shows. Maybe do a rotation of different types of new content. It just looks like you decided to do ten disney shows in the last two weeks. Its ok for us to be patient with the shows you are already watching before new content is introduced.
blugirlami21
2022-08-19 17:41:18 +0000 UTCI think Leverage would be a great fit -- serious but also fun, a 5-person team of former criminals now trying to do good for people who've been messed over, with sort of Oceans 11 type intricate heists each week. But it never seems to win polls; it must not be current enough for enough voters to know.

2022-08-19 17:39:56 +0000 UTCI don’t mind waiting till you finish some shows. But I really would like to see your reactions to Alias, Dollhouse, Revenge. More shows like that. Your reactions are great.

2022-08-19 17:39:49 +0000 UTCBrian's comedies, The Mentalist, Chicago and Grimm are the ones that I watch from Brian. The Witcher would be really nice

2022-08-19 17:39:44 +0000 UTCWe have put them in the polls as well and people don’t vote for them so we are left doing the other ones.

2022-08-19 17:38:24 +0000 UTCI have a lot of shows and honestly can’t add more until I finish the ones I have. The problem I face is that a lot of my shows have a lot of seasons.

2022-08-19 17:37:42 +0000 UTCI am, as always, speaking for myself, but the hole that How To Get Away With Murder left in this channel is massive to me. I think bringing that back with Brian would be really smart because the show is MADE for reactions, even as the seasons go on. In terms of the shows you listed, maybe True Blood and Westworld would be great fits for the channel. I have only watched the first episode of true blood, but have heard great things about both shows and could see myself tuning into reactions. But yes, for me, Brian’s sweet spot is teen dramas (and maybe I have an agenda for him to get back into One Tree Hill lmao)

2022-08-19 17:37:32 +0000 UTCWould he ever consider picking up nashville again 🤔 or how about alias or reba (it's only 30 minute episodes and so good)

2022-08-19 17:36:52 +0000 UTCIt would be cool to see some more unknown comedies, AP Bio, Mythic Quest, Happy Endings, Your The Worst.

2022-08-19 17:35:17 +0000 UTCRevenge. I've been dying to see someone on this channel react to the show. True Blood is good too
