2022-08-27 12:41:35 +0000 UTCYep 100%.For me it made more sense that Elena was Damon's love cuz it wouldve made all those scenes in prior seasons useless. Elena was the way Damon found a way out of being... well damon. But i absolutely love the complete 180 between Bon Bon and Damons relationship, from damn near mortal enemies to Besties, and I cherished that and personally i think wouldve ruined it had they become an item. Not all deep relationships between a man and woman has to end up becoming sexual/romantic I think, the fact that it stayed platonic made the relationship have more weight to it imo

To me they wouldn't make sense, plus it's nice that they keep some girl/boy friendships, rather than immediately pairing them up as soon as they start to get along. Stevens reaction to Benzo was funny xD I was equally shocked.
