I love both Hart of Dixie and Parenthood. I have never seen anyone react to either. HOD is definitely lighter than Parenthood. I think Parenthood is the better acted/written show, but HOD is just really fun. I personally would like for you to react to both but HOD first.

Hart of Dixie is just a ball of fluff, if you enjoyed Stars Hallow shenanigans and side characters, you will love Hart of Dixie (there are no Taylors to be had in this show ;) ) Parenthood is a good melodrama, but it is definitely heavier than Gilmore Girls and is not as light.

Nice to hear you getting into the theme song as well, just shows how much you like the show. I love The Marvelous Mrs Maisel, and if you like GG you definitely like that. It's more fast paced, but very funny.

Rachel Bilson is so funny in it plus its filmed on the same set as Gilmore Girls so you get the same small town comfort vibes except this time set in the south and a host of quirky towns people as side characters much like Gilmore and I am pretty sure there have never been any other reactors to react to it and believe me I have looked multiple times.

I wish the miniseries had never happened as I feel it undoes all the amazing work that season 7 did for the main characters, and that Gilmore Girls has the PERFECT series finale; I wish it would've been left as is. I'll never forgive ASP for ruining it. But alas, I'll talk more about that when you get there to avoid spoilers. 😂

HOD is the same set as Gilmore Girls and set in a small town. Parenthood stars Lauren Graham, so either is a perfect option. HOD is more of a young adult show, while Parenthood is obviously about being a parent. So you can choose whichever vibe you want there, but I love both so much.
