At least Blair and Chuck types own their bad sides with no excuses, so it's way more entertaining to watch, unlike Jenny who victimizes herself

2022-09-06 19:53:20 +0000 UTCHalf of the characters are teens here, Jenny is completely morally bankrupt. Only acts remorseful when things don't go her way. Pretends to be a certain way in order to gain something, but it's almost never genuine. Yes all of us have done some questionable things as teenagers, and so did other teens in the show, but not everyone is on this level of pretending to be innocent and caring, while actually just being very manipulative, selfish and has no respect.

All of them will piss you off, so I would recommend letting *some* of the negativity go because these are not "good people" most of the time. You just have to roll with it and have fun. 😆 "I don't understand how Serena got in..." It's just like what Emily and Lorelai discussed on Gilmore Girls. About the famous people (they mentioned Kate Hudson) applying and knowing she'd get in over Rory based on recognition alone. Serena is the Paris Hilton of her time. Look at Kim Kardashian; she literally got famous for being Paris's friend, much like Serena for hanging out with other socialites. Any young female who has the ability to attract media attention and fame based only on her connections and associations can easily be a socialite. Add in social media, and it's gone off the rails. High-profile schools want that publicity, to make them look "cool" to the students who usually wouldn't show interest in their school. "Yale looks different.." Yes, Gilmore Girls used the campus of the University of Southern California as Yale. Gossip Girl meanwhile used Columbia University as Yale.

Yes she’s done some questionable things but I feel like she deserves all the good opportunities she’s getting because she worked for it. She’s also a teenager girl so it’s not really weird that she’s rebellious. I’m pretty sure a lot of us have done some questionable stuff when we were teenagers.

2022-09-06 06:47:30 +0000 UTCI think it’s important to take into account that gossip girl is based in a world where status, or your last name, what you wear, and who your friends with matter more then grades. Also I think you should give Serena a bit more credit. Every time she decides to do the right thing Blair has something rude to say causing Serena to retaliate in the heat of the moment. Blair is mean to everyone where as Serena is really only rude to blair when it’s called for. And as for Jenny yes she doesn’t make the best decisions all the time but there are a lot of teenagers who would skip school to do a lot worse.
