2022-09-11 02:50:06 +0000 UTCOh wow! This episode was better than I remember. I will say the Cal storyline did absolutely nothing for me and we didn't really find out anything new about him? It would have been cute for a little netflix romance film but didn't really do too much storywise imo. But otherwise, this episode was fun - Lexi's show and working on the play, the Cal/Fez/Ashtray/Faye scene, hell even the Cassie nonsense. That bathroom scene is already iconic. It's so interesting that you like Elliot because I hate him lmao He's such a snake imo and him pretending to just be around for ~ vibes ~ just makes it worse because everything he's doing is SO intentional and I can't stand people who meddle with people's lives so casually. Rue is pushing everyone away - she doesn't want a lecture, but she really doesn't want anyone to stop her from doing drugs, which Ali, as her sponsor, would have that happen. Now, do I root for Rue? Of course! I root for Rue's sobriety because I think it is the empathetic thing to do. I don't believe that all drug addicts belong in jail (not that that's what you were saying) and I do think addicts deserve to have true consistent support. not just with friends and family, but on an institutional level and they just generally deserve care and compassion. On an interpersonal level, that gets difficult to figure out, but watching a character on TV? I want that for them. But yeah, without Rue, there would be no story. She is at the center, and is the reason why the creator wanted to tell this story in the first place - much of Rue's character is based off of his own experiences, which creates seperate problems, but yeah. Also, I don't know if you've noticed, but this season so far has not at all focused on Maddy lol So, despite you thinking she's a horrible person, she's had virtually zero story this season. And to be fair... I don't think Laurie trusted Rue with them drugs at all. I do think her intention is to sell her, which I could only imagine, would make her a crapton of money.

2022-09-11 02:24:26 +0000 UTCI haven't yet watched this reaction... but I plan on doing it today. there are 5 episodes left, and I'll piggyback with cil that 2x05 is fantastic and is in my personal top 5 of Euphoria. If you think you can get through five episodes, then go ahead and finish it. Euphoria is a very frustrating show, so I get where you're coming from.

2022-09-10 07:18:41 +0000 UTCyou may as well stick it out until the end. season 2 has only 8 episodes so you'll be done before you know it. also, episode 2x5 is arguably the best episode in the entire series imo and you should keep watching just to see that episode alone tbh.
