i cant stand Paige, and this storyline always made me want to just give her a hug and murder that man. I love how JT was there for her. And like others said, degrassi rarely makes storylines one offs. They usually come back. I can't think of any big storylines that dont continue and arc over seasons.

2023-08-09 01:41:17 +0000 UTCdegrassi's tagline IS "it goes there" so yeah... i can understand that this storyline feels a bit unfinished as of now but it is far from over so don't worry

2023-08-08 21:28:56 +0000 UTCI think having a plot line of J.T. and Toby's locker in the same episode of Paige's assault is very "Glee"-esk to me. Putting "dumb" storylines in the same episode or directly after something very serious happens, it's a total shift and this won't be the last time it happens. Not saying I did or did not enjoy it, it just felt kind of off to me and reminded me of how some Glee episodes are set up. And you mentioned it with the theme song how it just directly played after a very intense nightmare opening sequence, which gives me that same vibe, as that tends to happen a lot in this show. I think Degrassi does a much better job at handling these very serious topics, but more importantly follows continuity in their show, where as Glee would just forget about a plotline for the rest of the show. Overall, I think this was a solid episode, and Lauren's (Paige) acting was very well done for a 15-16 year old having to portray and act out such a serious topic in a show featuring young kids in it. You are starting to get more of the vibe of this show, as we dive into some of the more serious stuff, but there is a lot more filler in Season 2 than Season 1, but once we are done with this season I feel like we won't be in "baby-degrassi" anymore. The acting continues to get better as the actors grow, as well as the storylines, so I cannot wait for all of that to start happening more often
