Pertaining to your question about Callie, it’s more about taking her power back, rather then about closure. Fosters homes for her have been a pretty traumatic experience. So I think she’s trying to face her fears in order to truly move on. Because Callie still has walls up and major trust issues due to her past foster homes. She always feels like at any point steph and leina could revoke her adoption. And this is likely a result of her past. So I think revisiting her foster homes is her way of letting go off the past. Because it clearly still haunts her.
