The meaning of the title "Regrets Only": The main meaning has to do with party invitations. Often invitations say "RSVP" (respond and tell us if you're coming or not). But sometimes, as in this case, they say to reply with "regrets only" -- only tell us if you're NOT coming, otherwise we'll assume you'll be here. That's how the misunderstanding arose with Cam's event; they received no "regrets" from people they invited, so Cam assumed everyone on the list was coming, whereas in fact the invitations were never sent. You could also generalize this to other storylines maybe, especially Jay regretting buying Gloria the karaoke machine, but the main meaning has to do with invitation protocol.
