I've always voted for Broadchurch whenever it came up on polls but somehow, in my excitement to finally see your reaction to it, forgot the entire premise. One of my closest friends just had the same thing happen with their kid. Attended the wake just a week ago. This was a little too triggering for me

2023-01-13 11:14:41 +0000 UTCYes, that's Rory! And yes, Olivia Colman was middle aged Elizabeth on The Crown and has won 8,000 awards including an Oscar Best Actress for The Favourite. She's a true treasure. You missed at least two other Doctor Who connections. Jack the news agent (Filch) plays the first doctor in the recent specials and Brian the forensics guy is a Gallifrey citizen. Even Colman had a brief appearance at one point. At least half the cast of this show has been in DW, Harry Potter, or GOT, but that can be said of most British TV shows. lol. And I totally didn't realize Greyworm was the guy who plays Louis in Interview. I may have to check that out yet. But seriously, I knew you'd dig this show. It's great for reaction, being a whodunnit and it's just so well done. It's dark but beautifully shot and acted and that's what sets it apart from other similar shows IMO. The characters are well developed and stick with you. I'm willing to continue to sponsor this if you want to try for at least an episode a month, or if you want to do it as a binge drop, I'd love that as well. The second season sticks with this story and brings in another and the third is a totally new case set a few years after. All three seasons are good (imo the second is probably the weakest but still engaging). But the first season does stand alone if you need it to or if you wanted to even take a break and come back to the other seasons when you have the time. Finally, Ellie loves her son more than chocolate. I have seen other reactors use the subtitles on this one, mostly for Tennant's (actual) Scottish accent which is a tough one to understand if you don't encounter many Scots. But you seem to have caught most things pretty well. Fingers crossed for more!
