I agree with him trying again - to move past but I still felt like it was forced - like they just needed him to agree to the weeding so 1x22 could happen. He found out in ep18 then left for NO in 19, agreed to to the race in 20, hooked up with her in 21. I would have liked it a lot more if they had fleshed it over more episodes. I can think of another storyline later on, I would have loved to see over way way sooner hehe.

You don’t give up on such a relationship so quickly. I actually like that he wanted to stay and fight to save it.

2023-03-14 21:12:42 +0000 UTCTrivia time. I had to wait until the end of the season to share this. The creator Leila Gerstein knew how S1 was going to end. With the George leaving Lemon at the altar so to speak and Wade and Zoe hooking up. They just had to find a way to get there. That is why the Lemon and George storyline of him finding out about the affair but still going through with the wedding felt forced. A lot more trivia to come (at appropriate times) - like the change of the whole premise of the show before they started shooting...

I always hated how both characters on the show and fans who watch it both try to gaslight Lemon like her intuition that someone was going on with George and Zoe was just in her head or something and she was just being paranoid.

2023-03-14 18:26:05 +0000 UTCGreat reaction. I definitely think that the numbers will go up in S2. For me season 1 is the weakest of the 4 and in season 2 is where the show really finds its footing and the secondary characters get fleshed out more. Excited for what is to come.

I agree this finale was really solid, George deserved that punch for basically leaving Lemon at the altar after an entire season of calling her crazy for thinking he had feelings for Zoe. As for Zoe and Wade, I like that the initiative for sex came from Zoe and not Wade and that she fully wanted that and enjoyed it.

2023-03-14 04:23:20 +0000 UTCFinally we get to see Wade and Zoe go for it. I feel like they have really amazing chemistry as actors/characters. I never feel that between Zoe and Gorge. Which is probably why I was never into them as a couple. If I remember correctly the love triangles/rectangles really zig and zag in some interesting unexpected ways in season two. You are in for a treat :) I loved that Lavon was supporting George and he also seemed to be the only one to notice how desperate George was for the wedding to go forward despite everything. Lavon is a really good mayor which is strangely nice to see. He also gets into some interesting relationships in season two. I'm excited to see more Annabeth in season two, she's a great character.
