Are You Confused About Reaction Request Tier?
Added 2023-04-06 23:10:49 +0000 UTCI thought I laid it all out pretty well but if you are confused ask questions here and I will Answer.
Pretty much you request a reaction and it gets added to the list when I see the request on the DM. I show the whole list so that you know where your show is on the list. I will mostly go in order of the list but at times will jump around close to the top depending on my mood and the show.
UPDATE:
So I guess there was confusion on how this tier would work. I thought I made it clear In the membership itself. The way that it works is I have 15 slots and Brian has 15 Slots. Each month people at the $20 tier can request a reaction And that reaction would be added to the list.
So if there are 4-5 weeks a month and I watch 2-3 reactions a week then I could be able to do between 10-12 reactions a month. Sometimes more. The issue is that some of these reactions I have been given are double episodes sometimes so they take more time to do. Also people are requesting more from me than Brian so what happens is that Brian has gotten 10 request but then I would get 20. With some being 2 hour episodes.
I guess I thought people would come in request shows see how far they are down the list and come back when it got closer to the reaction you wanted on the list.
So if you request a reaction in March you will see it in April, request in April will be seen in May and so forth. For January and February me and Brian did every requested reaction for those months. March was I was about 4 reactions behind becuase or the long reactions I had to watch that took up two hours.
So for the most part things have gone according to plan in terms of a month later for the reaction. So if you have requested a reaction of a certain show (Broadchurch for example) every month you should be getting the 3rd episode of that reaction this month.
That was how it was suppose to go. The post I put to show the next two months of shows are request from March and April with March being watched this month and April next month.

Oh ok, great. That clears that up. I appreciate the response. Thank you.

2023-04-07 18:50:04 +0000 UTCWhat It means is that People joined and about 20 wanted shows for me and the rest for Brian. But if you wanted to jump from me to Brian and back and forth with request that is very much ok and I actually thought people would do that month to month.

2023-04-07 18:33:53 +0000 UTCI do have another question, actually. You said that you have more requests than Brian. Does that mean you can request reactions from both of you? I was under the impression you each had slots and you were subbed to one of your two’s slots.

2023-04-07 04:08:41 +0000 UTCWhat was your show? Just looking at my list here
Steven Merced
2023-04-07 04:04:41 +0000 UTCJust episode 2, which should have been reacted to in March. My January request was the pilot and it was completed. And March was episode 3. I messaged you about April and if you want to take a break and I can pick one for Brian for the month, if you need to get caught up some.

2023-04-07 03:32:23 +0000 UTCWhich one did I miss from February?
Steven Merced
2023-04-07 03:28:42 +0000 UTCThanks for clarifying Steven. Those numbers make more sense. If it's within two months of the request, that seems reasonable. I think my requests may have been one of the ones that fell behind from last month, since there's only been one so far, and I've donated for each month. That's cool. I'll look forward to them dropping. It might not hurt to put something in the tier description about requests being filled at your discretion, within X amount of time, just so if it might be a couple of months before the pledge is fulfilled, people know that and know roughly when they should be seeing something or when they should make sure their request didn't fall through the cracks.

2023-04-07 02:49:28 +0000 UTCI have updated the post

2023-04-07 02:36:05 +0000 UTCI'm waiting for Steven to clarify, because what's been said in the comments doesn't make sense unless I'm missing something.

2023-04-07 01:05:38 +0000 UTCIt's really not about the tiers. What if you want to leave the channel because the other reactions no longer interest you and you are owed months of requests? I've only had my January request reacted to and my February is still 15th on the list and since he missed my March email that one will be almost 50 reactions away. If anyone drops the tier and a new person comes in, even if they react to their first request sooner than the list would put them at, it will be over a six months before they would see another request and another year after that for the next one. This is where I'm confused. Do we really expect people to wait for months or years from a pledge to see when they'll have their request fulfilled? Because the ability to request isn't actually a benefit if the requests aren't fulfilled. And it's absurd to ask people to keep subscribing at even $5.00 a month for something that they paid for.

2023-04-07 01:02:06 +0000 UTCLeaving the tier wouldn’t make any sense when it’s a closed tier with limited slots. You’d lose your ability to request again later.

2023-04-07 00:58:33 +0000 UTCReactions can bleed into the next month. I’m not an impatient person, but in order for the pay per month to make sense, you’d still roughly need to get one per month so when they fall behind by a month, you get two the next. Because the price of the tier continues roll over so it’s not like you stop paying and eventually he gets to you if that makes sense. I’m also only speaking hypothetically. Brian’s reacted to my requests relatively quickly.

2023-04-07 00:55:44 +0000 UTCThomas, you say you can request your thing and drop to $10 and you’ll see your request later but that’s not always the case I think. The wording of tier seems to indicate episodes will goto lower tiers after like 2 or so weeks, but my January Alias still hasn’t been posted in one of those $10 weekly drop posts yet. (Unless it was secretly put at lower tiers, but they’ve had no new comments yet). And it’s had a 2nd episode drop also not in lower tier I can see. I’m thinking not all shows are going to be dropped lower for all to see. I was understanding maybe all requests goto $15 for week or 2 and every request goes to $10 but I’m not sure. Almost wonder if requests should go directly to $10 tier with no advanced viewing of higher tier. We just have advantage of requesting it but everyone sees it same time

2023-04-07 00:52:44 +0000 UTCI just want to make sure the requests actually do get fulfilled. If you take twice the requests you fulfill each month, that can't happen.
Jojo77
2023-04-07 00:26:39 +0000 UTCYes, one request per month, reacted to when They have The time, so The reaction might not be made The same month as The request.
Mariella Nilsson
2023-04-07 00:20:32 +0000 UTCIt was never stated that it was intended to be subscribed to for a limited time only up front or at any point. I don't want to make a stink, but I do need to understand how these requests will be fulfilled.
Jojo77
2023-04-07 00:17:45 +0000 UTCI've been requesting without getting a reaction in return for free for years. This level only makes sense if there are actual reactions for each pledge. I think we've all been pretty patient with waiting to see how it would happen organically. I know it can't just be a couple of us who took a request a month to mean a request fulfilled in that month or at least in a timely manner when we are paying for it.
Jojo77
2023-04-07 00:16:54 +0000 UTCI've been wondering all along how they'd get to all the reactions. Whether it's a pilot or an episode shouldn't make a difference. If they keep taking 15 requests for reactions a month and only react to eight, that's not sustainable. And going in a first come, first served manner on a list is not really even that if you have to ask what you missed each month and tack those on the end. I've requested two consecutive months of reactions but only one made it to the list (I think I forgot to message this month, assuming I was requesting the same show continued). And three months of payments for one reaction to be fulfilled so far doesn't build my confidence in this system. What if someone can no longer afford to pledge at all anymore with outstanding requests? $20 bucks a month adds up quickly to not be getting regular product for the money. I've been a patron of this channel for years, but this turns me off a bit. I read every update and never saw Steven say anywhere that he was only going to react to half of the request he got to start with and then push every further request out into an infinite backlog where there are twice as many requests coming in as being fulfilled. The math doesn't add up.

2023-04-07 00:14:49 +0000 UTCoh, i didn't know that. i thought we could use it sponsor a certain show. like right now, i want to sponsor heartbreak high. it's only eight episodes though. but there's been certain pilots where the comments are like "oh i'm so happy someone is sponsoring this show!!" so i thought that's how it worked, that entire series could be sponsored.
emily ღ
2023-04-06 23:52:47 +0000 UTCfrom my understanding, i thought since we're paying a specific amount each month, each month would get a reaction. so say we pay for - to use the example above - sesame street. so say someone says in february "hey, i want episode 1 of sesame steet." then that month there'd be a reaction to episode 1 of sesame street. then in march, "hey, i want episode 2 of sesame street" then episode two gets a reaction that month. but i think i'm understanding now that if you're going through a specific list in a specific order, with the amount of shows you have to do, that might not be feesible but let me see if i understand now: it's based on when we DM you? so let's say if i want to sponsor an entire series, currently i message you at the end of the month for the following month. for example, in the last week of march i messaged and said something like "hey just reminding you i want to sponsor heartbreak high and am requesting episode 2 for the month of april." is this how i should still do things? i just want to make sure i'm understanding and that i'm Dm-ing you in a way that makes sense. thank you for getting back with us, sorry for all the confusion!

2023-04-06 23:50:49 +0000 UTCI think the original idea was that you have maybe 3 pilots you would like Steven r Brian to watch, sub for three month, put em on the list, and leave the tier. I don't think it was meant to request whole seasons, but Steven went along with it for now.
Thomas Becker
2023-04-06 23:48:23 +0000 UTCone reaction request to be precise ;)
Thomas Becker
2023-04-06 23:43:52 +0000 UTCIt was never intended that the show would be reacted to in the same month as it was requested. Steven has said he would watch about 8 requests per month. With 15(?) slots available it's obvious that they can't be all done in the same month as requested. plus you don't have to stay subscribed in 20$ tier to watch em. if you don't want/can subscribe any longer just pause and get the 10$ at some later point when your requests have been processed.
Thomas Becker
2023-04-06 23:42:24 +0000 UTCIt seems simple. One reaction per month, right?
Fly on the Wall
2023-04-06 23:26:45 +0000 UTCIf we're paying for monthly requests, how will they be fulfilled? Most reactors who offer this type of tier react to requests in the same month as the donation. For instance, this month episode one of Sesame Street, that would come out by the end of that month, if the next month they say Sesame Street episode two, it would come out the same month, etc. I'm pretty sure this is the expectation most would have taken from the tier description. If it doesn't work that way, that's cool, but it would be good to know what type of turn around time to expect. Like, are you going to wait until they have a few months requests of one show to drop a binge? That would work unless someone has to unsubscribe for personal or financial reasons before you got to their requests. I think the timetable is really the big question as people accumulate more months of requests.
