This episode does seem a little off tone wise. It never was one I liked that much. This writer only wrote this episode.

2023-04-11 07:12:51 +0000 UTCIt's the same apartment from the first 2 episodes. They used to live in a house in the Highland Park neighborhood. When the scandal happened and Peter went to jail, Alicia and the kids sold the house and moved to an apartment. Timeline wise it was right before the show starts: these 3 episodes we just finding out more and more about all these details and 3rd episode was focused on "home" they had to give up and all the "friends" that they lost with it, struggles with transitioning kids to new school, etc. Grandma, who is Peter's mother, doesn't live with them, she just watches the kids sometimes and helps Alicia out when she needs it. I wouldn't call her a main character, but she is a major returning supporting character and you will be seeing more of her. I agree, this episode is definitely slower than the previous two, but t gave us a glimpse into Alicia's life before and I thought that's a good touch to help develop the main character.
