I liked the change of pace and style, if it is just occasional like this. I don't think Cass can teleport, he lost that power. And he wouldn't necessarily know where they are from praying, he is considerably less powerful than earlier versions of Cass. Crowley can't help without knowing where they are, and can't find them. The older guy was not meant to be strange, he was supposed to be the opposite. A wiser, experienced, decent person who unlike the crazy guy who just wants to execute them is just looking to do things properly, do his job, treat everyone well. I suppose he was strange next to the mercenary type people around him, but they are the ones that are meant to be strange next to him not the other way around. The concept of them wanting out so badly is supposed to be a reflection of reality, people think they can take this kind of thing because they don't truly comprehend how bad it is. It's only when someone goes to prison even, that the truth hits them, and they aren't so tough. A place like this is 1000x worse, with no realistic prospect of getting out. I can see how it can seem a little strange in universe given what they have been through. But you are not supposed to be comparing it to that, and instead thinking about it from a real life perspective. That's my take on the episode anyway. I agree that how they got there was poorly done. But this episode I think works well ignoring that.

Crowley didn't say that he didn't want to help. In fact he did try and help, that's why he knows he can't find them. What he was saying was that it doesn't matter that he can't help, because they will be fine like they always are and it's whoever has them that needs to be worried.

I don't think Cass can "teleport", or whatever it's called that he does, anymore can he? The powers he has become hard to keep track of unless you are specifically paying attention, but I didn't think he could. I might have missed it though.

This is one of my least favorite episodes of the whole series. At this point it's the third episode in a row that just doesn't FEEL like Supernatural to me. The Lucifer stuff simply didn't do it for me and felt like a distraction from both the Brits and Mary which felt like promising stories that weren't being capitalized on to the best of their promise. It's a shame there's such a pronounced lull (imo) because so many fantastic episode do fall in this season.

I think Crowley didn’t help because he already knew they’d figure it out themselves. As they always have. That’s what I got out of that conversation. And Cas couldn’t help because he can only go to them if he knows where they are. Sam and Dean didn’t even know so, they wouldn’t of been able to tell him, so they didn’t bother to pray to Cas. And I agree, killing Billie seems a big no no 😅

I FORGOT ABOUT THE RIB CARVINGS! Wow, that sounded wrong...

I know it's a real term. But "Leader of the Free World" made me chuckle. Cuz...freedom? Really? Is that what America's got? The boys are in a supermax for terrorists. I don't think that guy is a demon. I just think he's used to dealing with people far worse than what he thinks the Winchesters are like so he's not phased. When Wally said Mick's hands were soft and he said "thank you" really proudly, I SNORTED. I forgot that happened. I was really confused too why Crowley didn't wanna help and why Cas couldn't sense them. I feel really bad for Cas, though, who seems so lost without Dean and Sam. He doesn't even have the self confidence to work a case with Mary's help. He's a traumatised boi. That guard "did CPR" but Sam's body was still on his side...hmm... Also I need him to stop saying CHOW TIME. Isolation wouldn't drive me crazy. Those two words would. "What we have here is a failure to communicate. We're not trapped out here with you. You're trapped out here with us" is one of Dean's best lines lol. You can SEE in his eyes how excited he was that this opportunity to use this reference stumbled into his lap. Jensen Ackles portrays subtle emotions really well. I don't know why no one could get to Sam and Dean (can Cas still sense them? He can't teleport right? Maybe because the boys didn't know where they were praying couldn't help? Crowley couldn't find them? Rowena couldn't use magic to find them?). I hate Cas killing Billie because of the consequences that will surely have. The only upside to this episode was Dean's kickass line and Cas getting really teary as he told the Winchesters that they mean too much to him. I remember liking the next episode and loving s few s12 bangers that are coming up so we have that to look forward to.
