Looks like the goddess won (story summary)

Alright so i got my topic for the comic.  I think i have a pretty neat idea as well. 

So for the goddess Idea I chose to change a little from the original idea which had to do with Artemis and a thief.  I think y'all can dig it.  So here's the summary, let me know your thoughts

Summary: Seti’s sister Yatzil has been chosen to be a tribute to the fire goddess Niyah. She is being led through a temple to be offered up to Niyah by the village priests. Seti has disobeyed his village's customs and has followed the priests into the temple after his sister. After traversing some waterways and following close behind the ceremony party, seti makes his way to the temple’s inner sanctum. Seti enters the sanctum and finds whirlwinds of fire whirling about the room Yatzil kneeling, crying, as the priest chants to Niyah. Seti charges in knocking a few priests aside and interrupting the ritual. As Seti approaches he watches as fire gathers all around his sister. In adrenaline filled panic he leaps into the immolating space pushing his sister aside. Seti tells Yaz to run and that he loves her. 

Draped in fire Seti observes as a bird-like presence gathers together from the fire. Seti gazes entranced by the fiery figure and wordless understanding pierces deep into his mind. Seti is to be chosen, the vessel which holds the spirit of the goddess. He is not to be erased but be transformed into something new to complete the great union. 

The Fire continues to torrent about the room growing hotter and fiercer. Seti notices that his sister and the priests have fled and he is alone in flame. Seti Feels the flame the phoenix comes into him and transforms him. His skin blackening, his eyes flaming his breath inferno All of Seti's senses scream and in the last moment before his spark of life  is snuffed out. Warmth. Great warmth. Followed by the strangest of all feeling renewal. 

Seti’s blackened body hardened and still standing yet motionless. Then craggily spindles of orange light striate Seti’s body as different parts of his body break into ash. Beneath this however lies fresh new skin, new hair only longer, new emblazoned eyes, mounds of flesh where there hadn't been and a deep valley where another important bit had been. Seti Stands in the room transformed into the avatar of the phoenix goddess niyah. Seti stands as the phoenix Goddess.
