that paperwork "joke" haunted my dreams 😅it was a very messy situation but Harry is still the (only) one that at least said the words "if he needed to go then thats okay" (a few years later then I would have liked but) I appreciated the sentiment. especially as it was after Zayn said they "never really spoke while in a band" which wasn't nice either

2023-10-21 06:35:43 +0000 UTCoh yes! i think while they might not have intentionally wanted to be harmful they were pretty ignorant to his plights in the band and certainly didn't help. i don't mind harry but that paperwork comment def was in poor taste and i think they definitely didn't help the narrative. there's moments they could have spoken out in defense of him or done more and they just didn't. which really is too bad.

2023-10-20 19:34:46 +0000 UTCoh yes. the media is horrible and I don't necessarily like how some of the guys treated him either (the twitter fight, that liam podcast), it really gives space to the negative comments. from the call her daddy podcast it seems as though he at least made peace with it so I'm very glad for him.

2023-10-20 18:56:52 +0000 UTCzayn!!! the way he was demonized by the media for leaving 1d was heartbreaking. i got into into the fandom right after he left and was spoon fed awful things about him. turns out he's a very kind and quiet soul who suffers immensely from anxiety and was treated with so much racism and hatred while in the band (not from the members but from the media and certain "fans") it was painted that he was a backstabber for leaving but after looking into it more, it's no wonder why he had to get out. he has a farm now with chickens and adores his animals. he's a little quirky, he has this massive quiet farm he tends to, a music studio, an art studio, etc. he likes to keep to himself and do what makes him happy. that includes music but the anxiety he faces makes it difficult and he prefers to keep to himself right now vs touring etc. he just seems very quiet and kind and it's a shame how the media and certain people treated him and continue to.
